Great idea. How is the heat from the engine? Also, you might want to make sure the windows are open- if there is a slight leak from the exhausts you will gas yourselves.

My '07 Boxster does this when cold; normal? guessing lifters. found it a few other videos... tappy and rattley I agree, but big fun

That's a great idea! I have always wondered how the sound woul like with the hood off. After having seen that video, I think I am gonna try it myself.

Note to the driver: no hail & toe when downshifting? Why?

why would be bother heal* and toe to downshift? He's not on a racetrack...

Just for the pleasure of hearing the noise of the engine reving up whilst downshifting and to preserve the gearbox. *Heel* and toe doesn't require a race track! It is part of the pleasure of driving a sports car. FYI, the new Nissan 370 has automatic rev up coming with the manual gear box whilst down shifting , thus simulating the heel and toe.

haha yeh youtube spelling ftl. Yeah the 370z does it for a reason though, smoother shift, that won't unsettle the car.

I get the pleasure of driving a sports, but using a race technique on the road is going abit far/playing with yourself imo. Fun isn't the reason it exists, stopping compression lockups is.

is that a standard boxster or S
