@Jetwow135 Here's the deal. There is no external mic jack, but you can easily record external audio with a portable recorder and sync it in post. It isn't too hard. If you already have an iPod, you can use it with an Alesis Protrack or something similar and get great results. Other inexpensive recorders are also available. Synchronization takes only a little bit more effort, but the very low cost of this camera these days makes it worth it in my opinion.

i just made a handle out of 2 L brackets and attached an opteka 150w

so bad in low light, so you need a nice light

The camcorder is really good, its low light function is great and the image quality is superb.

Its Mac & Pc Compatable and works fine with iMovie.

Flash does not work while filming movies, its only for taking photos.

The surround sound is good and it also gives you a option to use only 1 mic so when you zoom in to a subject there voice sounds better.

Menu i would give 8/10

Video quality 10/10

Sound quality 10/10

Battery life 8/10

Size 10/10

My guess is that the mics are directional, meaning they record the sound in a specific direction.
