Folding a DOUBLE chainring BF, keeping the chain on

I give use a cable tie to hold the chain in place while I transport it and a pocket knife to cut it off when I am ready to ride. My wife has the Bike Friday, I have a Dahon which uses a cheap plastic chain guide to hold the chain in place. I don't know why Bike Friday don't look at a similar idea. All for the sake of a $2 piece of plastic.
