  • Tsem Tulku said the "four legitimate traditions of Tibetan Buddhism" but actually there is a fifth one: the Jonang school.

  • Not just the Tibetan Buddhism, but Buddhism as a whole - including Zen Buddhism, all have love and gratitude for His Holiness The Dalai Lama. A Great discourse by Tsem Rinpoche - Many Regards

  • @BodhiOshin You are so right I'm grateful for Rinpoche to give us this talk, else we would not really know what His Holiness has done to benefit Buddhism in general. His Holiness is one of the few Buddhists powerhouse who can fill stadiums!!!

  • What I don't like about the Dalai Lama is his obsession with politics and controlling the lives of the Tibetan people. HH the XIV and his predecessors have all been wonderful teachers, and extremely well-educated and intelligent people... but I think he has fallen far too deeply into his political position rather than serving the people as a spiritual advisor. He is supposedly the incarnation of the absolute emanation of compassion... and yet he promotes discrimination against Shugden worshipers

  • @NinjaSuneku I have no idea about the Shugden issue, but I'm glad we are not involved in this. Anyways His position has dual role spiritual and political. Plus His Holiness has done a lot to bring the Dharma to the modern world, I appreciate his contributions. His talks and books are really profound too.

  • @bsfbkhdj blog (dot) tsemtulku (dot) com :) here you go. What do you work as in Sweden?

  • @bsfbkhdj Sweden has many dharma centers ? Hey would you like to join our forum for discussion . Have you seen RInpoche's blog yet?

  • @bsfbkhdj in a video on His Holiness Succession he was saying that Karmapa and Ling Rinpoche to continue his work. As a Buddhist practitioner I would be more inclined to play more importance in the survival of Buddhism rather than Tibet.

The greatest gift from the Tibet was the Buddha Dharma and the tantric traditions kept since the days of the Indian pandits and the masters who taught it now all over the world. I do symphatise with the TIbetans. No one is really on the Tibetans side.

  • @bsfbkhdj Yes all buddhist traditions benefit a variety of people with a variety of minds thank you trying to clarify matters

  • kalara buddhists pwn these tibetan celebrity buddhists.

  • @freakoutguitarsolo1

    2:22

"accepted by the elite and stars"

    what a douche.

shaolin is way better than tibet.

  • @freakoutguitarsolo1

hey tsem, you're ego is showing.

  • @freakoutguitarsolo1 His Eminence Tsem Rinpoche is a pure monk and after observig him for 18 years he is all about benefitting people and beings not about feeding his ego.

  • I think that, if you listen to Tsem Tulku, you'll see, however unorthodox seems his style, the real thing. He's bristling with insight and can help us unmask the self-cherishing that contaminates and undermines even our most noble aspirations and efforts.

  • All Buddhist practice transforms the mind so that it becomes pliable and can discover its true nature. How effective it is depends on the propensity of the practitioners hence the numerous types of teachings meant for different types of minds. How great, powerful and skillful is the Buddha.

  • The teaching on the eight verses of mind transformation is an incredibly profound teaching composed by Geshe Langri Thangpa. It condenses all of the teachings on compassion by Lord Buddha. Hence it is now an integral text for a genre of teachings called Lojong or mind training.

  • @frozbyte23

I recently began taking that practice (8 verses of mind transformation). May I ask, what it exactly does? I recite it in my practice as well. I always recall the verses when I am out with others and it helps me feel more humble while cherishing others.

  • HH the Dalai Lama is fantastic! But what will happen when he passes on I wonder? Is the Dalai Lama's institution necessary already since Tibet is in exile. He did mention a few scenarios and one is that he will not return.

  • H.E.Tsem Tulku Rinpoche with genuine pure heart described qualifications of His Holiness 14th Dalai Lama. Rinpoche showed examples of how much he respects and admires Dalai Lama; he also showed us how he wanted to continuously spread Dalai Lama's teachings and to make Tibetan Buddhism grow so as to benefit many people.

  • Rinpoche really works very hard towards the growth of Dharma in the land of Malaysia and for the benefit of Malaysian Buddhist. May the retreat land manifest to benefit more and more sentient beings.

  • Yeah you know, we should do all we can to help the retreat land manifest! And we should also do all we can to help spread the word about Kechara House. I mean, there are so many people out there who would benefit from a group like Kechara! It would be quite selfish of us to keep the benefits of KH and Rinpoche to ourselves hahaha

  • Tsem Tulku Rinpoche has such a strong mind. I have seen Rinpoche giving teachings even when Rinpoche is having fever and headaches. Rinpoche only cares about benefiting sentient beings and have selfless thoughs always in mind.

  • Yeah I have heard that Rinpoche often has trouble sleeping, or suffers from bad headaches. You're right, despite these physical sufferings, Rinpoche continues to teach. I think that's quite incredible - whilst he can put up with so much pain, the rest of us cannot give up dinner, cinema, sit in traffic for a few minutes, etc in order to attend a dharma talk that Rinpoche suffers to give! Could it be that Rinpoche's physical ailments is the manifestation of the lack of merit of his students :(

  • I saw one thing in common between Tsem Tulku Rinpoche and His Holiness is that they are so devoted in bringing growth towards Dharma! With a kind heart and in-depth knowledge of Tibetan Buddhism.

  • Yeah that's true! I can also think of another thing they have in common...both great lamas continue to teach and be steadfast in their practice despite all the negativity and obstacles they face! Oh and another common aspect - both great lamas teach outside of their homelands. His Holiness travels everywhere to give teachings...lets hope one day we have the merit to invite Rinpoche back to the States!

  • No wonder Tsem Tulku Rinpoche speaks highly of His Holiness The Dalai Lama where in Tsem Tulku Rinpoches humble thought that attending HHDLs teachings is the same of attending Buddha Shayamunis teachings.

  • So much guru devotion. From his YouTube videos, I can see Tsem Rinpoche only ever sees his teachers as Buddhas. When he receives instructions from them, he takes it as though he is receiving instructions from Buddhas. How many of us baulk when our gurus ask simple things of us, like please eat your dinner a bit earlier so you can come to the dharma talk on time! If we viewed our own teachers as Buddhas, we'd say 'yes' without becoming defensive!

  • i have high regards for His Holiness too! His Holiness kindness is known through out the world! Everybody knows His Holiness! What HH has done is immeasureable really! Fully attained master who is so humble.

  • I am very touched by the kindness of His Holiness Dalai Lama and what Tsem Tulku Rinpoche actually thinks about HHDL. Rinpoche even dedicated KHs website to HHDL! How nice

  • Did he! Omg how awesome! Now the students who take care of Rinpoche's site now have to do a good job of maintaining the site hahaha no excuses! :P oh by the way, you guys are doing a great job as it is! And thank you for the YouTube teachings as well!!!

  • It is the kindness of His Holiness Dalai Lama that Tibetan Buddhism has spread to world wide and is the fastest growing religion now in US.

  • I have the fortune to be able to attend in one of HHDL teachings in Australia not long ago... as mentioned by Tsem Tulku Rinpoche His Holiness The Dalai Lama is really a simple and humble person.

  • royrobson - you have much merit to see His Holiness if you are a student of His Holiness I pray that you can be of benefit to many beings.

  • No one in this world has more knowledge than the Dalai Lama and yet HH is so humble and simple. He's also the master lineage holder of all four valid tradition of Tibetan Buddhism.

  • Haha of course! He is Chenrezig! But you're right, he is very humble and simple. His Holiness always says he is just a simple monk. In the past, Tsem Rinpoche said that if a monk is highly attained, he doesn't go telling everyone. That's how successful people in the mundane world behave. It's the people who remain keep quiet about their achievements, who set themselves apart. Their behaviour itself is enough to let people know how attained they are. They don't need to verbalise anything.

  • That's why you'll never hear an attained lama saying, "Oh I can do this, I can walk on water, I can fly." People who verbalise are seeking validation of their attainments from external sources. People who truly are attained don't need any of that validation (Buddhas don't need validation!).

So beware of the people who never stop talking about how incredible they are!

  • Hey skyjuiceman, what do you mean by the four traditions of Tibetan Buddhism????

  • jellienellie1: they are Kagyu, Sakya, Nyingma and Gelug. If anyone is trying to draw 'us and them, we are better than you' divisions...don't! :P there are attained beings in every tradition! And remember, Lama Tsongkhapa studied under all of the traditions and became an enlightened being. He also combined Kagyu, Nyingma and Sakya to form Gelug. Saying the other traditions are not good, etc means you are saying Lama Tsongkhapa was wrong to study and combine them...can a Buddha be wrong??? :P

  • (1.32) we have so many things to appreciate for His Holiness Dalai Lama. i do agree very much. such a kind heart, greatest scholars to have lived in the world.

  • I think (His Holiness Dalai Lama) one of the greatest schoolar alive in the world. 2:52

His Holiness is a master holder of Sutra and Tantra. 5:25

I pray everyday as in our center, His holiness will live very very long. 6:00

  • His Eminence tsem rinpoche is a beacon of light for many beings in darkness especially those who reside in South East Asia. May Kechara House flourish as a Buddhist gem in this region once again.

  • I hope so too! Having the retreat centre, Tsem Kacho Ling, will really help KH and Rinpoche to achieve their aim of being source of inspiration to many, and be a calming and stabilising influence...and hopefully this effect will be felt far beyond just South East Asia! After all, there are beings suffering all around the world! Hehe

  • I agree Aaaaxn. I think we should do everything we can to spread the word about Rinpoche. After all, the Internet is free right? I hear KH has an e-division who take care of the websites and YouTube? We're web-savvy (I think!), why not volunteer to help spread the word?

  • Hi purplerain372, yes that is a good idea. The thing about e-division is that it can be done from anywhere with a computer so it's a feasible volunteering position for anyone. However, it'd be good if volunteers were committed...if you don't like disappointing loved ones, why disappoint your lama who gives you the methods to end your suffering?

For those of you closer to Malaysia, KH has 12 departments. All of them love having volunteers...so take your pick of which one you'd like to join! ;)

  • Malaysia used to have Hindu and Buddhism in its shores this was until the influence of Islam came, I think similarly for Indonesia. Hoeever the influx of Chinese immigrants who are now up to their third generation , there is a kindling interest in Buddhism in Malaysia. However many people who claim themselves as Buddhist have quite weak basics and foundation in Dharma , so His Eminence finds it hard going sometimes spreading the dharma here.

But he inspires us by not giving up!

  • saraswatiarts - Lama Atisha , the first person who wrote the Lamp for the path of enlightenment which was the first Lam Rim, took teachings on bodhicitta for 12 years from the peerless master Dharmarakshita who was residing in Sumatra, South east asia.

  • I agree with what you said about kindling interest! With the economy like it is ATM, even though life is tougher for many, it also reminds us that money isn't everything (quite a big deal given money is important to us Chinese! :P), and it can come and go.

So money is impermanent like most other things in life...and as what Rinpoche teaches, the only thing that is certain in life is death. Therefore as morbid as it sounds, what we should do is prepare for death...and KH helps us to do that!

  • Hi yellow which version of the Lam Rim do you study?

  • I study the version of Lam Rim or the Stages to the path of Englightenment by His Holiness Phabongka Rinpoche . It was transcribed by the peerlees Lama His Holiness Trijang Rinpoche who is the junior tutor to his Holiness the Dalai Lama.

  • I use the text 'Liberation in the Palm of Hand' .

  • Hi yellowhatrules what is the basis for assuming all sentient beings have been once our mothers I don't quite understand?

  • The basis for thinking all beings have been our mothers is that , we have had countless lifetimes, and in each of that innumerable lifetimes we must have had a mother. Hence if we have lived so long and had so many mothers it should be no surprise that everyone we meet has been our mother at least once.

  • The basis for thinking all beings have been our mothers is that , we have had countless lifetimes, and in each of that innumerable lifetimes we must have had a mother. Hence if we have lived so long and had so many mothers it should be no surprise that everyone we meet has been our mother at least once.

  • Within the Lam Rim , for us to develop the Bodhi Mind , we learn to think that all beings have shown us kindness in the form of a mother. Buddha is so skillful in using the mother as the object for us to contemplate on .

  • I concur with yellowhatrules, I study the Lam Rim from Kyabjye Phabongka Rinpoche. In fact Phabongkha Rinpoche was reknown for teaching the Lam Rim all the time and not focus on higher initiations .

  • I think that's the same 'policy' Rinpoche focuses on. In the past, Rinpoche has mentioned that it's good that to focus on the Lam Rim for now. He said for many of us, we can barely hold our refuge vows well...so I guess at this moment, taking on higher practices and bodhisattva vows is out of the question for us! Hahaha

Besides, as Rinpoche has also mentioned in the past, the Lam Rim (if practised well) is all you need to attain enlightenment!

  • Yes, the illustrious Lama Phabongka Rinpoche only taught the Lam Rim and rarely

gave initiations in the past. Lam rim means the graduated stages to the path of enlightenment

hence it is a valid path for us to be enlightened.

  • What His Eminence drills into me is that in this video , we should have appreciation and gratitude for the people who have benefitted us , directly and indirectly!

  • His Eminence devotion is likened to not needing to be pushed to spread the dharma. If we need someone to baby sit us , or watch that we do this or that then the Buddhdharma is far away from our minds .

  • His Eminence uncanny ability to deliver the dharma to contemporary folks like myself is a sign that he is a true spiritual master. And in this day and age , he leaverages on what is sutiable to the spread of dharma. To put it in a nutshell he is going with the time , absolutely fantastic lama.

  • I pray that may Malaysia one day be graced by the presence of His Holiness the Dalai Lama!

  • i pray all beings everywhere , have the good fortune to be able to view the golden face of his Holiness the Dalai Lama.

  • His Eminence Tsem Rinpoche is such a great lama who is so humble , its very clear from his clear you know what level of realization this lama is , yet the most endearing quality of him is his humilty. Surely humility is the fragrance of our humanity.

  • I totally agree! What I think is so telling about Rinpoche is that despite establishing Kechara and its 12 departments, and having so many dedicated students, he still is the same person he was when he arrive in Msia over a decade ago. Despite all the success and 'fame', he's still as humble as ever, and he still has the same motivation and dedication towards spreading the dharma.

How many of us can remain that steadfast? Our minds would've drifted into self-interest and self-promotion by now!

  • i have enjoyed this pilgrimage very much, every corner of it and every personel that i have met. they have been very friendly and helpful. they have made sure i am in good shape and comfortable all the time.

  • yangming - great that you visited all the verious departments within Kh , Rinpoche wants to introuduce to various people the various places in KL where the dharma is being practiced by people , mostly malaysian.

  • Ahhhh so happy to hear you were able to visit Kechara House! And happier to hear you viewed it as a pilgrimage! So lucky!!! I think in one of Rinpoche's other videos on YouTube, he said he doesn't see why Malaysia can't have Buddhist pilgrimage sites. He said that a place becomes holy because it is imbued with the holy body, speech and mind actions of a person who has become attained in that spot...guess his students must be doing a pretty good job if you view your trip as a pilgrimage? :)

  • South East Asia used to be a bastion of Buddha Dharma , may it be like that once again.

  • Kechara Oasis, Soup Kitchen, Discovery, Media and Publications, Paradise and the grandest of the all, Kechara House! i have enjoyed myself there very much.

  • hi guys i am back in China after visiting Kechara House in Malaysia! it was very fun and an eye opening trip for me. i treat this as the pilgrimage...

  • Comment removed

  • yeah, i agree with you - Tsem Rinpoche is really a cool Lama and i am interested with His kind of packaging of Dharma

  • i agree with you frozbyte23, deep understanding of the mind and the nature of reality is the word. you're a really wise man. Tsem Rinpoche has thought you well.

  • i thought Tsem Rinpoche explained it in a very simple layman terms plus Rinpoche's english is very fluent.

  • I don't think the higher training require a leap of faith but a broad mind that can think on deeper issues. Faith in Buddhism is founded on deep understanding of the mind and the nature of reality.

  • why i believe in Buddhism was simply because i thought its logical... every point was answered with logic. I understood a lot better after listening to Tsem Rinpoche's talks. it's just so easy to understand.

  • Frozbyte: faith is essential to try out somethin gor practice, if we have so much doubts how to practice? As we can't directly perceive the benefits or results.

  • As Rinpoche taught, I think when we first take refuge in a teacher, we can have some doubts and check out our teacher. Once we've taken refuge though, we should accept our Lamas whole-heartedly. I mean, it's like school right? How do you know what your science teacher says is correct? Because at the beginning, you checked them out and saw that their lessons were true - for example, the process of erosion makes sense.

  • So does their explanation of the reproductive cycle...even though you can't see sperm and egg, there are definitely results when they meet (e.g. you were born!). Therefore, as you learn more difficult and abstract concepts, for example when you graduate from school to college, you may not have the capability to understand that your lessons are definitely true, brings benefits or has results...so you just trust your teacher.

  • That's what taking refuge is, I think, trusting your teacher after you've checked them out. It's not a leap of faith because you checked them out to begin with. A leap of faith is when you go into a relationship or situation blindly, with no investigation beforehand. Once you've investigated though, what's the point in criticising and analysing and resisting?

  • jeanai1986 - Yes I agree we should check before we take refuge and not check after refuge is sealed.

  • If you resisted your science teacher and said there's no way babies are born as a result of a sperm fertilising an egg just because YOU can't see it happening, you wouldn't have got very far in your school exams! Hehehe ;) so I think yes, faith is necessary in practice but not LEAP of faith (because that implies blind belief without prior investigation).

  • But i think there's a limit to what science can explain. higher learnings would require a leap of faith....

  • Ragger: science to all it use and purpose is tiall at best an approzimation . And science is dicovering many truths within the Buddhist religion . Yeah many thing mentioned by the Buddha scientists are finding parallels to what they are now discovering.

  • I believe due to His Holiness engagement with the top scientists in the world for me it shows that science is catching up to Buddhism , and Buddhas truths which had been revealed over 2500 years ago : )

  • Youngciku82: Do try to read information on Kalachkara on His Holiness official websites that talks about it.

  • I think Tenzin Zopa means holding the dharma with great patience.

  • Its great that in Rinpoches center they dedicate towards His Holiness the Dalai Lama long life. And His Holiness carries on turning the wheel of dharma.

  • What is Kalachakra?

  • Its quite vast this explanation of Kalachakra. It is one of the highest anuttara yoga tantra. This practice among the famous lineage holders are His Hoiness Dalaia Lama, His Holinesss Sakya Trinzin and His Holiness Jamgon Kontrul .

  • I believe His Holiness gives Kalachakra initiation periodically to suitable recipients.

  • I believe His Holiness gives Kalachakra initiation periodically to suitable recipients.

  • yellowhatrules , thats so true a person who helps us even with the first step towards the dharma is like Buddha to us . As we did not have the merits to meet the Buddha, we probably have only have merits to meet a pure monk or practitioner who is learned but may not have realizations. Nevertheless this kind being we meet is like our Buddha , that can help us in this moment . As we have not spoken to the Buddha or had the opportunity .

  • In the Lam Rim to view ones teacher as Budhha has much benefit to us . Whether in reality our teacher is a Buddha or not.

  • Rinpoche always speaks very humbly that , most lamas when they first start teaching the dharma they come in one or two suitcases . And through His Holiness , the lama hard work and sincerity and through the power of the dharma protectors dharma spread far and wide.

  • I think Rinpoche makes a balanced view , that all the lamas who are spreading the dharma do work very very hard. Despite that it was His Holiness who created the ground work for the rest of the lamas and Rinpoches who are now starting to teach and spread the dharma.

  • His Holiness the Dalai Lama is the lineage holder of all 4 Tibetan traditions , Nyingma , Kagyu, Sakya and Gelug amazing.

  • His Holiness his teaching , presence , demeanor is definitely like the living Buddha walking on earth.

  • Yeah if His Holiness ever comes to my city I would not miss it for the world.

  • I feel the way Rinpoche talks about the qualities and kindness of His Holiness the Dalai Lama so very moving and shows what great respect and appreciation of Rinpoche has for His Holiness.

  • And his teacher remarked I am not sure but His Holiness has given the command I will follow. And His Eminence Tsem Rinpoche remarked that he saw in his teacher a living master who had real Guru Devotion .

  • I recall in one talk from his eminence Tsem Rinpoche , he mentioned one of his teachers received instructions from His Holiness the Dalai Lama . And he said to his teacher to do so many sessions of Yamantaka retreat is not possible with such a tight teaching schedule as well, isnt it possible to speak to His Holiness to reduce the commitment.

  • Rinpoche shows us an superb examples of guru devotion to one of his Gurus His Holiness the Dalai Lama.

  • I would be very proud to have part of my refuge taken from Rinpoches ordained name.

  • His Eminence became a monk in the year of 1987 and after 4-5 years in the monastery he was sent to teach in a land where Buddhism has not taken root yet. That shows how fast His Eminence picked up on his knowledge of dharma .

  • The prayer for HH the 14th Dalai Lama is truly beautiful and inspiring... May HH the Dalai Lama, HE Tsem Rinpoche and all pure teachers live long and continue to turn the wheel of Dharma; in all my lives, may I not be parted from holy Dharma and perfect teachers!

  • ya man, i love the prayers recited by Rinpoche too. that is just so sweet of Rinpoche to make that prayer done in Kechara House everyday in their pujas sessions.

  • the prayers recited from HE Tsem Tulku Rinpoche for the long life of HH The 14th Dalai Lama is very nice and soothing. i m loving it!

  • it is very nice that members of Kechara House is making prayers everyday for HH The 14th Dalai Lama's long life and continously turning the wheel of Dharma.

  • there's loads of Tsem Tulku Rinpoche's teachings coming up too. Sit tight and enjoy the profound teachings of Rinpoche jonsmithy25! :)

  • thank you for uploading all the videos constantly here in youtube. i really appreciate it and it is really a blessing to be able to receive some teachings from Tsem Tulku Rinpoche. Thank You!

  • wow, i get all these video feeds in youtube... 100s of them! this is just so nice plus the videos are all FREE! Rinpoche's teaching really is simple and easy to understand.

  • Don't you guys think that Rinpoche look great in this futuristic white robes with maroon monastic zen. Great Lama look. =)

  • Tsem Tulku Rinpoche looks great in this futuristic white robes, but more importantly that the way Rinpoche bought Dharma to every type of person in the regions of South East Asia - so simple and easy to understand

  • The Great Fifth Dalai Lama, Gyalwa Ngawang Lobsang Gyatso came to power in Tibet and unified a fragmented nation and began the construction of the Potala Palace. The unification of Tibet allowed monasteries to thrive and hence Buddhism entered new heights of development in Tibet.

  • Rinpoche's Ordination name is Tenzin Zopa! Beautiful name! I believe it means holding the Dharma with great patience. He sure has a lot of patience to give so much teachings over the years.

  • besides that, Tsem Tulku Rinpoche has the passion to go all the way for the Dharma, along the way Rinpoche has been inspiring students from different background to push themselves to commit for the growth of Dharma

  • HAHAHA yes! I think Rinpoche must've met quite a few interesting people over the years! I mean, he always says he wants to attract the people that society ignores, forgets or sidelines...he always jokes that he attracts all of the weirdos!

Actually, I think what's funny about that statement is that all of us are ignored, forgotten or sidelined by society to some degree. This is whether we're rich or poor, happy or sad, fat or thin, miserly or generous...so Rinpoche wants to attract all of us!

  • :Purplerain372 - I think Rinpoche appeals to his particular set of beings and other teachers attract a different sort of crowd so the lamas and spiritual teacher can cover all segment of society.

  • I feel quite happy knowing there's a teacher out there who wants people like me! LOL

Oh I also read somewhere that it's tradition for teachers to pass on half of their name to students who take refuge with them...so for example, Rinpoche took his ordination vows from His Holiness the Dalai Lama, hence the Tenzin in his name. That means Rinpoche's students will either have 'dharma holder' or the quality of patience in their name...how lucky!

  • Purple I think you are being modest , we all have the Buddhanature within us , on that level we are all equal within the six desire realms. And we call can be Buddhas , someday!

  • Wonderful... so impressed with his respect and devotion to Dalai Lama. So he has many teachers or gurus? How many of them?

  • Rinpoche has fourteen masters and amongst them is His Holiness who ordained him a monk and Kyabje Zong Rinpoche is his root guru or the guru that made the most impact in his spiritual life.

  • Thanks bhusukumode for your info. Wow this show Rinpoche is well equipped with all the knowledge from great masters. Oh but then, Rinpoche also talk a lot about Guru Devotion... so by having so many gurus, what happens if they give different instructions???

  • When a being as attained as Rinpoche's mind, one would not be easily confused of the teachings and because of their merits and simply He's an emanated one, it's not a problem for Rinpoche as all He did was like picking up the teachings that He got in all His previous lives.

  • Bhukusmode - Rinpoche is a high lama and desginated to teach hence he needs many teachings and initiations for him to be able to benefit as wide range of beings possible . Hence he has to take these teachings from many many masters .

  • This video also showed that how much Rinpoche actually respects His Holiness (one of Rinpoches Guru). He has been very strict on the Guru Devotion.

  • Yes, H E Tsem Tulku Rinpoche may be unconventional in the way he delivers the Dharma but when it comes to the Dharma itself, Rinpoche is very strict and unwavering.

  • i think that is a sign of an Enlightened Being who have a very strong mind. It is very interesting to be able tobe HE's student

  • He has to be the coolest of all! I love Tsem Rinpoche so much! His works for Dharma are all for us to see and the students as a role model for us to follow. I love Kechara House!

  • Dalai Lama is just so cool and I think H.E. Tsem Tulku Rinpoche is just as cool as H.H. Dalai Lama! I am very elated to be able to listen to this talk given by H.E. Tsem Tulku Rinpoche

  • I agree totally, frozbyte23 I would definitely think this is what any Rinpoches wants from the students which is to constantly be mindful of the kindness the Guru has brought us.

  • May the holy teachers - HE Tsem Tulku Rinpoche have long lives. May the englightened activities be fully displayed in the ten directions, and may the brightness of the teachings of Lama Tsongkhapa continuously dissipate the veil of darkness covering the beings of the three times

  • To all you guileless ones, in whom we take the excellent refuge, We pray with intense devotion, humbly, from our very heart, That by the strength of these verses Ngawang Losang Tenzin Gyatso, He who has power over speech, the kindly one, pholder of the Dharma, the great ocean, He who possesses the three secret powers, May be indestructible, eternal, and without end. That, seated on the supreme unconquerable throne of the vajra, He may live for a hundred eons.

  • In this holy land surrounded by snow mountains,

You are the source of all benefit and happiness

May your lotus feet, O powerful Cherenzig, Tenzin Gyatso

Remain in this world until the end of existence.

  • "In this holy land surrounded by snow mountains,

You are the source of all benefit and happiness

May your lotus feet, O powerful Cherenzig, Tenzin Gyatso

Remain in this world until the end of existence. "

what a nice wishful prayer for HH The 14th Dalai Lama! Nice one!

  • I'm totally touched when Rinpoche make dedication to HH Dalai Lama - May we continue to serve HH, holding our vows, practice guru devotion, doing commitment prayers and sadhanna and transform our mind to fulfilled HH wish.......

  • HH Dalai Lama is the master lineage holder of Sakya, Nyingma, Kagyu and Gelug. All this unbroken lineage of buddhism has been passing down till today in the world, and make it available for everyone to hear and practice the lineage prayers.....I'm so happy that Rinpoche is from Gelug lineage which continuous to spread Lama Tsongkhapa teachings to benefit more people......

  • HH Dalai Lama is very humble monk, he doesnt show off, he's simple, manifest as a wonderful monk, he helps, he gives, his whole life has been totally devoted to the growing of Tibetan Buddhsim and the peace of every country.......A master who really devoted his whole life in dharma is and teach is not a easy task, yet we get all these great master/ guru to guide us.....we should love them, cherish them and appreciate every single word they say.......

  • Rinpoche did mentioned, we owed HH Dalai Lama quite alot, as HH manifested in this world - Tibet (Land of Snow) who continue to produce great master, great mahasiddha to teach and turn the wheel of dharma, the only way we can repay kindness to HH and our Guru is by practicing dharma, help HH and Guru to achieve their dharma vision and fulfilled their aspiration......

  • Everytime when i attend Rinpoche teaching, the moment i see Rinpoche, i feel like Buddha is giving teaching in front of us, so do some of you who has attended HH teachings before....Seeing HH is just like seeing Buddha Shakyamuni 2500 years ago, where Buddha gave teaching to all his disciple at the holy boddhi tree.....Guru = Buddha, a Human form manifestation to continue to teach the dharma......

  • and Tsem Tulku Rinpoche who is a Guru who never gives up on teaching and making His students transform their mind for the benefit for themselves. How compassionate!

  • yeah, Tsem Tulku Rinpoche is a great guy! to my deepest respect for Tsem Tulku Rinpoche, i am very happy for Rinpoche's students to be able to have a Lama who is so caring, passionate for Dharma and never give up attitude!

  • Rinpoche relates his student as a normal human beings, teach them and feed them with Dharma, just like HH who treat everyone with love, care and with in-depth knowledge of buddhism......Even we are not buddhist, we still can practice Dharma, as Buddhsim is not a religion is a teaching, which we can apply in our daily life to become a better person.......

  • Tibetan Buddhism is growing everywhere in the world, is widely respected by everyone and become stronger and benefiting millions of people, due largely by HH Dalai Lama LOGIC and ACCEPTANCE of the world......What a good statement from Rinpoche to share with us......Through HH blessing, we have alot of great master to study dharma and practice it....Master such as Rinpoche who is so kind to teach and guide us here......

  • Wow, Tenzin Zopa was the first name given by HH Dalai Lama to Rinpoche, when Rinpoche took ordination, so auspicious to hear that. By the way, The name of Tsem Tulku is a incarnates name of Gaden Shartse Monastery......and every single moment Rinpoche talks about HH, Rinpoche voice always tone down and folded hands, can see how devoted Rinpoche are to HH. We should follow Rinpoche, practice good and perfect Guru Devotion, so we may not separated from Rinpoche again.......

  • Lama/ Guru is very kind to teach us Dharma.....The only way we can repay his kindness is to listen to his instruction, absorb the teachings and practise it. Just like Rinpoche, he will never ever forget every single words and vision from HH Dalai Lama......

  • by holding our vows and commitments to him is already the way to repay His kindness... in this video you can see Rinpoche who normally just joke about anything... but in this video Rinpoche is just so serious.

  • I hope that this video will be posted to esangha to show them what respecting the Dalai Lama really means...not just singing him praises and pretending to be with him politically lol

  • I agree with you. Some people spent time to Guru Bash, instead of improving on their Dharma knowledge and practice.

Speaking about Guru Bashing, the topic for this Sunday's (26th April) debate in Kechara House is Guru Bashing! It will be very exciting to debate on this topic.

  • Agreed. Also,Rinpoche's controversial book that talks about this topic plus other topic like switching Gurus, switching centres etc , entitled Gurus for Hire Enlightenment for Sale revised edition is being launched in London Book Fair right now!

They are available on Amazon US and Amazon UK now!

  • It would be interesting to see once its built up and with all visitors flocking in to see beautiful statues and artworks nicely placed all over the place in TKL. I pray hard for TKL to manifest! Tsem Rinpoche rocks!

  • yangming10: TKL will be one of the biggest Buddhist institutions in Malaysia that actually provides a solid platform fo0r its students with a lot of care and patience. Imagine how it would help everyone!

  • yangming10: is TKL the legendary retreat land that Rinpoche plans to manifest? Tsem Kacho Ling? I heard that 30 Million Ringgits is needed to build it up...wonder if anyone can donate

  • I would definitely want to visit the TKL (Tsem Kacho Ling) once its ready. I have seen some Tibetan temples in where I am staying now, China. Yong He Gong temple caught my eye as they have a large beautiful Lama Tsongkhapa statue there! Built in the Qing Dynasty by Emperor Qian Loong for the benefit of citizens at that time! Real Nice!

  • yangming10 : Why wait for it to be ready then get involved? create the causes now to join and be in the building instead of just wishing now and never being able to go there..

  • Yes! This is just so nice, I cant wait for the TKL to manifest where we will have a great time there! Seeing abandoned animals being fed up there in TKL plus many many more ideas for the TKL! Tsem Rinpoche and his students is working very hard towards that course!

  • dharmaguy001 : I feel that what would be more important would be to actually go to Kechara House and volunteer to help contribute to the actual manifestation..

  • And from what I observed so far, Tsem Rinpoche and Kechara has grown even stronger! They did not fight back to any jibes thrown at them and just kept quiet so far continuing on what they are doing. This is just self explainatory!

  • allforbuddha: they are really a strong bunch of people who gets going when the going gets tough! Maybe they learnt this from Rinpoche..

  • It is unbelievable to see or hear anyone criticizing Tsem Rinpoche. I have found that people just need wisdom to judge and not listen to rumours like that to affect their mind. I myself can judge by watching on all the videos and reading all the comments that I have read so far in youtube describing Rinpoches approach! I dont see a single cult thing here!

  • allforbuddha: Personally I feel that they will lose credibility over time when Rinpoche becomes better. when that happens those people who Bad mouth Rinpoche will lose all respect that others have give them over time..

  • And I often heard about Tsem Tulku Rinpoche stressing that You might be doing Dharma work but is the Dharma in you? to His students. Rinpoche also stressed to students on the 8 verses of Mind Transformations where all of the 8 verses does not ask one to harm others, in turn treat them as precious jewels.

  • Theres always difference between cult and a religion. Cult asks you to harm people around but religion doesnt. Dharma doesnt harm people but in fact cared for others feeling. That is why they have vows for us to hold so that we would not harm others.

  • Yes, by listening to your Lama, serve and venerate him will help us to acheived alot of things, never ever has any doubt towards our Guru and follow whatever our Guru ask us to do........

  • peterhoh1231: That is easy to say but difficult to do especially when the Guru tells you something that you cannot comprehend...better think carefully before you make such statements...it can be quite profound

  • dharmakid108: I guess you had personal experience of it too eh? Having the Guru is invaluable but not many can take the heat and improve..

  • peterhoh1231 : sometimes he may ask you to do some impossible things...how then? how are you gonna handle that?
