Ballroom concetrates more on the drama of the tango than its sensuality, but I agree that Argentinian Tango is better to watch. Much better, and even better to dance!
i have seen the real argentinian tango. It would be MUCH better if these dancers start loosing up a bit. They look so like robots. Tango is a sensual dance not a back and forth, neck right or left dance.
Where is tango coming from? There is no other tango (or varitations of it). This is ballroom dancing. I have been in Argentina and saw the real dance. Tango in its roots is more complex but at the same time delicate with steps, turns, walks, etc. Nothing so abrupt. Something you and I could do. Ballroom dancing concentrate in techniques more than anything else. It applies to all music genres. Believe me nothing wrong with ballroom dancing, but not the real thing.
