according to everyone the only thing real on the auction car is the windshield steering wheel and dashboard who am I the owner of Vance's General Lee the last charger driven in and signed by Chris Mayer...and anyone thinking about biding on ole Coy's GL ask to see under carriage pictures. Ive driven it and the chasis and floors are ROTTED the paint was repainted by Macco for 149 bucks..If you want a GOOD General Lee clone DO YOUR HOMEWORK
Kevin you are wrong. This car sat in a Georgia junk yard for 23 years till it was purchased and yes it was painted a green color and a #71 was painted on both doors and roof and was used in the episode "Repo Men" as a Richard Petty stock car wrecked in a tire commercial but Bo and luke wanted the engine out of it.
Why did they use a picture of MY car jumping over the police car in the movie instead of the actual jump that Lee 1 made? The car pictured in HOT ROD that they mention s my car GL-51.
Can someone please clarify. From what he was saying "They needed another general so they brought in Lee 1 and painted it green"? I'm assuming they painted Lee #1 Green after the jump and used it for something else?
@KevinandCindyGaul it must have been true, as the second owner added some stock car bits to the car -wheels, suspension, racing seats.....- right after buying it from the studio; then he"barns" it (stored the car in a barn) until those cool guys found it and had it lovingly restored to its former glory........i´m absolutely convinced that this cool ride will be in good hands now......
