    also they made a 425 wheel hp on a stock m62 sc cobalt thats not bad for a 1.0 sc. Why do people hate on em so much, but then again i like to see the looks and shit talking start when they do lose to a cobalt lol

  • @hochsteins1180 it wasn't procharged. the car was changed to turbocharged and made 898whp on 55psi of boost. the m62 car made just over 400whp on a 2.4 stroker motor and a 2.7 pulley on the m62

  • @ATLBraves1992 yeah exept i have a 02 gt single turbo with 967rwhp. and a cobalt ss. im 22 and my friend is 19 and we built it even weldid the cage in in a single car garage. i put 48 grand into it in three months to make it run and look like this. i would say impressive. the fags you are reffering to are the ones that have the mustang daddy buys then you put exhaust pulleys and a cai and consider it built. i love people on these sites that talk a bunch of trash when they run these #s

  • @americansmark Most SS/SCs dyno between 200-210 at the wheels, nowhere even close to as low as 170.

  • @Sarvoth1 I just saw a base SSSC last month dyno at 173. The fastest one was a Stage 2 with HPTuners and nailed 245whp. They shipped with 202bhp.

  • @americansmark On what sort of dyno, what correction factor? Was it actually the 2.4 SS? They are underrated, you can find dynocharts and videos everywhere provided by both private owners and reputable aftermarket vendors for the LSJ. 173 is ludicrously low and if it was in fact the SC variant something was certainly wrong with the vehicle or the calibration of the dyno.

  • @Sarvoth1 Pretty sure it was a dynojet, but can't remember. I raced the guy and I was just as quick. The Ion Redlines had the same engine, but were tuned differently and had a few more ponies. idk what to tell ya.

  • @americansmark The SS/SC is rated at 205, not 202. That 205 is underrated, most SS/SCs dyno around 200 FWHP plus with some dipping down to about 195FWHP.. I am pretty positive you saw the 2.4 SS dyno. The SS/SC bone stock dyno tends to range from the 190s upwards to 220 FWHP depending on dyno and conditions.

  • @guyd37 maybe if you new a little more about the car you wouldn't be making dumb comments. you know there are three different engines for the cobalt. And you have the economy bottom of the barrel model. So dont make assumptions of the cobalt in general if you don't know anything about it.

  • you can go comp or i recommend the gmpp camshafts and cam gears. just if you get any cams dont expect huge power gains.

  • Comp cams makes a set of cams for the cobalt, they make a turbo, blower, and high compression naturally aspirated set of cams. they cost $567.

  • I'm guessing these are the GM performance cams for the LSJ. They had a limited amount for sale.
