I really want to use my poser animation/skeleton in Maya. When I use export and choose collada/FBX, all I see in Maya is a mesh of the character and no animation what so ever:o(

Doesn't anyone know how to export animations to maya?

@cphdotdk I think the only animations that you can use both in Poser and Maya are BVH motion capture data, unfortunately to animate your Poser models in Maya you'd have to create a new skelleton for them entirely from scratch.

It is BHV motion capture data that I have. But you can't import those files into maya, so I tried to import to Poser and then export to fbx(So I can open in maya)

Basically my goal is just to get BHV data into maya. I'm OSX, so the few mel scripts are win only it seems. How can I achieve this?

For all the people capping on this guy for saying Ummmm... When we created the Poser 5 Demystified video, I had to "learn" to not say ummm all the time when I was being video taped. It's harder than you think. It is a common placeholder in everyday speech when you are thinking of what you are going to say next.

you cant acctualy animate your own characters Animaze:) you can animate in outher programs and get them in poser, couse poser is a video render program

You CAN animate your own character. Maybe you meant that you can't "create" your own character? You can import your own model and set up a rig in Poser and then animate it.
