And I thought Mandy Patinkin nailed it. This is fabulous. I loved the expressiveness of the melody. I was also quite impressed with the orchestra. I played the bass guitar part in a college production years ago and found the score to be brilliantly arranged. It really comes alive here. I've decided to sing this number as a solo at an upcoming showcase performance. I think I'll make this video my practice piece. Thanks for sharing your talent. It was very well done.

Why is she singing in German?

@Ozcellenc2 : This was an International Tour across Europe and one of the biggest markets was german-speaking countries. So the show went on in both languages English and German. Eventually (by the end of rehearsals) the entire cast knew the entre show in English and in German and we switched, depending on which country we were in. The reason I am singing in English at this rehearsal (this was supposed to be a rehearsal in German) is because by that time I did not know my lines in German. :)

Is a gay Che pretty much a prerequisite for a production of "Evita?" Kind of like having a gay Joe in "Sunset Boulevard" or a gay Raoul in "The Phantom of the Opera."

We're in Fuerth 2 more days - today and tomorrow. Today plays another Che (Georg) and Sunday me again but with a different Evita (the one on this video - Evelin Grimmel)
