I come from Kabir path (of course socially HIndu).......you call our "SatGuru" as a "Bhagat".........I have seen many Sikhs claiming that "Nanak" was much greater than "Kabir" therefore he is only called a "Bhagat"...........

Part 1.

They were a true bhagat which is why they were titled as bhagat. If they were a bhagat, then the throne(gur-gaddi) of Nanak Sahib would've been given to them. Whosoever really understood Nanak, became Nanak. Nanak Sahib didn't pass the gurgaddi to even their sons. What's more can u ask for. I'll tel u one thing, Sikh Guru Sahiban collected, & compiled Bhagat Kabir Sahib's Bani. And, the SIKHS protected the BANI with their life. Read history and u'll know.

We don't look at bani as oh this is kabir sahib's bani so this has a lesser value, oh this nanak sahib's bani so this bani has the highest value. NO NO NO. As per FURMAAN of Nanak Sahib, "DHUR KI BANI AYE" the primal lord himself blessed the Bani. At least u too wud agree everything comes from the lord. Guru Sahiban and Bhagat Sahibaan were just the vehicle to bring the Amrit Bani to this world. "Bani Guru Hai, Guru Hai Bani" This is why Sikhs go great extents to protect it.

If the the Sikh guru sahibans hadn't collected the Bani of Kabir Sahib, and Sikhs hadn't protected all the Bani with their life, this bani wouldn't be here and neither would you. Where were u Kabir Panthis when Bamans were calling Kabir Sahib Names and rejected his every idea. Who gave the Kabir Sahib the place they deserved. It was the higher conscious of Sikh Gurus who gave Kabir Sahib the rightful place.

I agree with Sikh religious history......but just for info... and Kabir Panthis have existed since the time of Satguru Kabir Maharaj....the text og Kabir Panthis is called "Bijak"....it includes more compositions of Kabir Maharaj other than the ones included in SGGS.......

SGGS is a remarkable work having the great insights of lot of spiritual saints and I think Sikh Gurus have done what none could do......but treating any scripture as

"private property" is not correct....

Mr. Anat, we sikhs do not treat SGGS as a private property. As per quote from Gurbani you'll understand this, "..Bani prabh ki sabh ko bole.." "...Choh Verna Ko De Updesh..." "...Waho Waho Bani Nirankar Hai..." When Dhan Dhan Satgur Gobind Singh Sahib gave Gurtagaddi to SGGS, they said, "Sab Sikhan Ko Hukan Hai, Guru Manio Granth" Satgur Gobind Singh Sahib didn't say, to only worship the bani of Sikh gurus as "GURBANI" but rather all bani and that includes Kabir sahib's & rest of Bani.
