Hey, there isn't just one way past the military guards at the underpass!

You can either go through the tunnel filled with electric anomalies, go straight through and kill everyone, or go waaaay to the right of the checkpoint. There should be a large cutoff point on the fence you can just go right through. (Though, go too far right, and there's tons of radiation.)

First time I played unmodded Shadow of Chernobyl in 2007, it blew my mind with the immersion factor. And it still does, actually (modded or unmodded). The wind sweeping through the grass and weeds, the day/night cycle, the weather effects -- all of it is top-notch. The game incorporates RPG elements without losing its FPS spirit (unlike Fallout 3 which is an RPG first and an FPS second). You can get a good amount of ammo/supplies early on if you're willing to spend some time in Cordon.

And Chernobyl is a tourist location these days, so the radiation is not that harsh anymore! They are even planning to make fucking farming zones there and sell the food to America, Europe and Russia etc.

@Nukedphone If they open farms up on Chernobyl, they will all be loaded with Cesium, which is a bi-product of radiation, found mostly on atomic bomb test sites that mainly the US use. If you look up a place called Bikini Atoll you will see what I mean. To make a long story short, we will be eating radioactive foods, which I don't think the US government will appreciate very much.

Actually there is a radiation bug that happens almost never. Its like 1 in 50 chances or something like that.

There is no fix for that bug, wich makes your radiation bar go up even if you are not in a irradiated zone or have radiation artifacts in your belt.

So, its pretty much a deadly bug as there is no fix for it ^^

@batwat is not a bug, well depends as bloosuckern said it could be artifacts, but normal attained radiation (from radiated parts of the map) it will be difficult to go away specially if the sign is orange or above

How did you manage for walk soo close from de bloodsucker in the tunnels without been see, that think see me when i walk trough the door ... is a great game, i played Clear Sky and im downloading the Call of Prypiat, but the only thing that y love more from CS than SoC is the swamp and the ability for upgrade your weapons and suit ... Either your RAM is too low or you need a better graphics card. Underground, you have more stuff surrounding you, which means your computer has to render more polygons. Try lowering your settings.

I didn't know that they didn't shoot on site.

I was too amazed at the environment and I was yearning for a better weapon then my pistol and shotgun (which I still use even though I have a SPAS with slugs) after the firefight at camp where you save that one stalker for his flash drive.

I opened fire on them with my pistol from the warehouse closest to the bridge.

10 minutes, 300 pistol rounds, and 30 shotguns shells later I had killed them all.

Then I claimed my prize.

man I want to play those but, i'm stuck using my Laptop (Vaio with 256 vid card) which can run Stalker SoC fine (all textures are set to maximum) but when I first turned on the Dynamic Lighting I was completely blown away because i was just using the low lighting (static lighting) setting and i didn't realize how f'ing awesome the game looks. Just wanna be able to run the other when i buy them on the full settings. Dynamic lighting on my laptop= choppy but playable

I personally like the greener look of stalker.

I loved STALKER, but damn, I thought the game could have warned me I should save at Pipryat if I want to see all endings. It felt like bullshit not being able to see them all because you can't get back from Chernobyl to get the code for the door to the real thing. They could implement an auto save at Pipryat, would be enough.

First of all i have played fallout 3 + all it's expantions to the finish i have also done Stalker shadow of chernobil and clear sky i find clear sky to be better however BUT the two games have absolutely nothing IN COMMON they are so very different with one another that it's not even funny the only thing that those 2 games have that's actually common is the fact that the action takes place after some kind of a nuclear disaster but that's it....so i fail to see how can this be cheap knockoff

Yup they're completely different. Fallout is an open world RPG (stats and equipment play a big role) and Stalker is an free roaming fps (enemies sound/visual detection play a big role). The only two things that are in common are they both have guns and both center around a nuclear accident. I own both and they play completely different :D
