  • these guys are the best

  • this is just insane sounding, i mean this is some of the best shit ive heard in a long time

  • whole album is good beginning to end best new thing in a while, bad thing is people still love seether nickleback and the likes and this won't sell that well what a travesty.

  • Wow, the ending caught me by surprise. I love it.

  • hahaha, brutal end of the song. great fucking album

  • People talk about Grohl or Homme a lot here. Great modern musicians, two of the best today. BUT, this is Jones band, just like Zeppelin was. JPJ for life!!! Put him along with two of today's best in Grohl and Homme and you have some of the best music in a long long time!

  • shut up luke lol

  • JOHUA HOMME Associated acts: Kyuss, Queens of the Stone Age, Eagles of Death Metal, UNKLE, Mondo Generator, Goon Moon, Masters of Reality, The Desert Sessions, Screaming Trees, Fififf Teeners, The Strokes, Arctic Monkeys, Them Crooked Vultures, Lupe Fiasco, Biffy Clyro ,PJ Harvey, Fatso Jetson, Mark Lanegan Band, Trent Reznor, Death from Above 1979,,Mastodon,Peaches, Fu Mancho,Primal Scream,The Prodigy, Martina Topley Bird, etc

    36 YEARS OLD ?...

  • I don't think you can say that the band "belongs" to any one of them. For every bit of Zeppelin there's some QOTSA and Grohl's drums are downright distinctive.

  • LOVE THE ENDING FTW!!

  • how do they suck excacly?

  • trouble is you immediately start to think 'oh grohls drumming isnt heavy enough' and 'yeah now this songs needs a tasty solo'...ie wheres bonham and page? still beggars cant be choosers and thereisnt much good rock music about these days. good stuff.

  • I haven't finished listening to the whole album bu yeah you're right, I'm expecting some heavy drumming because of songs for the deaf. Hope there is some

  • i just regret that a powerfull song like Fang as no proper video...

I can't understand it... ok i'm not an MTV fan... but there's good videos made by rock bands ...it's not always a commercial machine... it can be well done without a thousand ass and 2000 shakin' boobs... i mean look at the White Stripes or the Dead Weathers 2nd single...

etc etc... no there's potentially a violentkick in z "MtvPyramidofAnts" who is lost... foo fighter and the queen of the stone age made videos so what !?

  • I swear this is a haven for stupid people who think they know music, Zeppelin was great because of the sum of all parts. I love douchebags who know jack and shit when jack just left!

  • I assume JPJ is responsible for that awesome ending

  • I actually haven't enjoyed an album that much since... 10.000 Days by tool, I think.

  • Same here!

  • ha! each to their own but on 'no one loves me neither do i' there's this;

' i know what it means to be lost in lust

not because you should but because you must'

not bad?? ps i dont see why youtube take off comments that are thumbs downed. not nice at all is it?

  • Actually im curious, why did Qotsa stop?

  • @akeclan becouse born this band i think

  • There is only one thing that could make this better.

    The followign tour:

    Them Crooked Vultures

    with

    Foo Fighters

    opening for

    A reunited LEd ZEp

  • hahaha great point bit without bonzo led zep is NUDDA!!!!

  • EARGASM again.

    Omg, TCV > Rockvolution.

  • Sounds like a bunch of punks walking down the street kicking shit over and causing trouble...I fucking love it.

  • Understanding is cruel the monkey said as it launched to space lolol

  • @rayneBohBryte - "better" is entirely subjective. I believe that if even one person enjoys a form of music (no matter our personal preference) that makes it a worthy artform

  • Agonizing. I am counting the minutes until I can have this album for my very own.

  • it would be great if you come to mexico

  • Comment removed

  • Eargasm.

  • i love them crooked vultures!!! dave grohl is amazing on drums lol :D x

  • @theFionana i pooped in ma pants D:

  • "ignorance is bliss until they take your bliss away" - that just made me chuckle :)

  • @rglover65 lol i know what you mean. That line wreaks of Dave Grohl trying to write like other, better musicians.

  • DG is an awesome musician, among the best currently in mainstream music. Lyricist.....well.....maybe not so much.

  • So Awesome.

  • holy shit this is addictive. I mean how many times in the past 12 hours have I come to this page? Not too many :) <3

  • nice ending!

  • it's 3 of the best bands ever combined. can this be any better?

  • Look, SkyValleySpace Cadet -- everyone has different tastes. I happen to love Josh Homme's voice. In fact I think it's my favorite thing about QOTSA.

  • I am a woman. And you are a complete jackass.

  • @SkyValleySpaceCadet

How the hell can you like Qotsa but not this if you dont like josh's voice?

  • What the fuck? It's not QOTSA without Josh. You're musical incompetence can't even register in my mind.

  • YOUR. not you're.

Your grammatical incompetence can't even register in MY mind...

  • Imagine Kyuss with Josh Homme on vocals. It would stink, trust me.

  • lol, i love the ending :L

  • Just ordered the album, only had to listen to that epic riff in No one loves me an neither do I and i knew it was one to get =) Such epicness all in one album !!!!!!!! I love the style of it, its like somethin completely different from anyone else an i love it !!!!!

  • I think he says "New Age Kyuss" not "New Age Goose"

  • OMG Led Zeppelin still alive! Awesome!!!

John Paul Jones bring the sound and style! Guitar sound like Jimmy Page's Gibson Les Paul

  • No kidding, I almost half expected Josh Homme to try and pull a little Robert Plant out of a hat.

  • Mind Eraser... No chaser!

  • Ah ignorance is bliss. Love the 3's & 7's reference.

  • I just had an eargasm

  • I love the lyrics to this song especially.

    ........new age goose....

    Awesome.

  • I think he says "new age goose step"

    Ya know, like the Nazis.

  • i love the song.. cant wait for the album!

  • This is some fucking HOT shit.

  • The last 15 seconds of the song is even better then the other part)

  • lol @ GodFather7rus

  • AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • fucking great!!!

  • It´s real hard to find albuns that you can just press play and forget about it.

Not very suitable to listen to behind the wheel though!

  • @luizjuneba why not? I fuckin love crankin the tunes in my car with a timmy's coffee in one hand and a cigarette in the other. That's when you know you're alive

  • @deedoo2009 Hey I hear Ya!! I'm not holding a timmy's or a cigarette but I'm definitely driving and crankin" songs like these!!! I think I'm the only Canadian that doesn't do timmy's coffee!! LOL

  • TRULY ROCK!!!! AMEN!!!

  • hey u can actualy hear dave sing on this one, nice haha

  • JOHN PAUL "MUTHCRATCHIN" JONES

  • THANK YOU SOMAGHOST!!!

  • Best track on the album.

  • Holy shit it be rock, I thought the tight pantsed whiners chased it away some time ago!!!!!!!!

    FUCK YES

  • Coulden't agree more, more rock, less whining.

  • This is Rush on mushrooms!

  • Oh Hell Yeah!

This ought to bring real bands back.

  • Holy shit, totally buying this album. God damn.

  • good song. good tune.

  • This is excellent! I'm a big Foos and QOTSA fan... can't wait for tomorrow so I can buy this ;) That's when you gotta love Australia!

  • Just got to hate this island cause u we dont get to see them live as often as we want to!!

    Bring on tomorrow!

  • WOOT! xD

  • same here man, im a huge foo fan...sometimes i love being aussie

  • Rock will never, & never did die, so how is it making a comback ? Time for the deck jockey's & remashers to pull the plugs out & buy a bigger sound system's. Dave will melt those little monitor speakers you own...Rock on.

  • Yup.

    Sounds great.

  • Best song on the album right here.

  • Personally, I'm just glad as hell to see rock making a comeback, even if only slightly. New Pearl Jam, new Alice in Chains, Them Crooked Vultures, new Muse...rock fans rejoice, 2010 might actually be the year where (with T Pain and Lil Wayne in jail) we finally get back to real people playing real music!

  • i havent actually checked out alices new shit

    i ought to

  • "Rock making a comeback"? You talk like it's the only music worth listening to. Or like there are no bands to listen to today.

Fuck. Listen to more music. And dig a little bit deeper.

  • I listen to a lot of music...in fact, I make my living as an engineer in LA. Last time I checked, Rock records sell for shit over the last 8-10 years. So yeah, I'm gonna hope that Rock will make a comeback in a commercial sense, so I can finally start working on some records that rock AND have a budget attached to them...'cause the last few rock records I've done have nada as far as budget. Fuck. Look at the numbers. And dig a little bit deeper.

  • Wait, so your hoping rock makes a comeback so you can reap some of the monetary benefits of said come back?

Fuck. Don't be such a miser. And dig a little deeper.

  • No, I want to see rock make a comeback so the industry will stay alive and there will continue to be rock records. Simple fact: labels will NOT put budgets behind rock records anymore. Why? They don't sell. Granted, not much sells right now at all (album sales are down by 40 BILLION dollars because of streaming and downloading), but pop and hip hop sell better and are cheaper to make, so that's where the funding is. Fuck. Don't be such a miser. Buy the CD instead of streaming it on YouTube.

  • And in case you're wondering: Them Crooked Vultures had enough names to get the budget. Why does the album sound so good? They tracked in a studio that cost 2k per day for just the room, and were there for over a month. That doesn't include gear rental, engineer, producer, manufacturing, promotion, etc. It's not cheap to make a really good record. Getting a better budget means better studios, better gear, and better sounds, not a larger bank account for me. Get a clue before you run your fingers

  • My bad, I'm sorry I assumed the album was so good because the musicians were so good, but since your in the biz you clearly know better than I. Also, I did buy the album, the first day it came out, I dug quarters out of my sofa so I could go and buy it. Get a clue before you call people misers for steaming the album online before its release.

  • and Julian Casablancas :)

  • ppl think they know who wrote which song but really, u can hear a little bit of zeppelin in each of the other two's bands

  • easily there best song

  • every song is awesome, but my fav is Gunman

  • Will there be a world we all can look forward to?

  • After I'm done talking about music, i like to go ahead and lick a good painting after dancing to a book.

  • Very amusingly well-put! ^^

  • Stop Arguing Ladies ...

    Enjoy it :)

  • Gotta love the melding of their voices......my new favorite song!

  • Too fucking right. The riff is fun as fuck to play too.

  • you guys have got to be some kind of deaf to not notice Grohls dominant Influence on this song. a good blend of him as well as jones and J but i definately hear more of him in this.

  • The intro sounds a bit like FF -Generator

  • Im sick of people comparing every song to one of the respective bands! The start sounds fuck all like generator.

  • Well it's impossible not to admit that you can easily distinguish who had that main influence on most of the tracks.

But I agree with you, I'm sick of people saying it just to sound clever, it's pretty obvious anyway!

  • no way...wayy damn wrong.. It has a talk box ffs

  • lol at the outro

  • Stoner rock ftw.

  • ha the ending made me lol...im high tho so...

  • I didn't like this one at first... but now its one of my favs XD

  • meh...maybe it will grow on me

  • how all those videos get in the ytube main page?

google are u selling these spots now??

  • @pinhead13 I definately hear the Jones input into the album. listen to late Led Zeppelin songs when Page was into Heroin to much to write and Jones did alot of the writing and you will hear it in this vultures album. Although it is alot Homme influnenced.. Jones is definately there.

  • @davidkhammer Couldn't agree with you more. JPJ was the brains behind LZ. I saw him in the early 90's along with King Crimson and he was mindblowing. A true genuis, ask DG. Check out his solo material from the 90's. It's all through this.

  • maybe thats what it is, ive heard and only liked early LZ, anything before 72 or 71...idk maybe its just hommes voice that im sick of, i hear that, and i automatically think of queens...jpj is a genius, i play drums and dave grohl is awesom on here, he is one of my influences growing up, but idk, the album just didnt really impress me..

  • dave should do back up vocals in more tracks DAMMIT!

  • lol@ the end

  • The main riff is beastly. Good work BOISSSSS

  • Good to hear Dave's voice again =)

  • i hear dave in the chours

  • this will be one of the best albums in existence for years to come hands down.

  • This is clearly the best one out of all of them, so epic!

  • I think this song is a meld of QOTSA and Foo Fighters; I don't hear a lot of Led Zeppelin in it though. Grohl on drums though! What a treat! I'd have to say that as a Grohl fan I believe that's where he truly shines musically! What a power trio, damn can't wait to see these guys and pick this album up next week..

  • mostly QOTSA, I think, but that lead in the beginning is SO Zeppelin.

  • hehe clearly because there's josh from queens on guitar, voice, alain johannes (who was on QOTSA) on the other guitar, and dave on drums (as he was on QOTSA too), that mades 4 against 1 :P

  • haha of course grohl shines on drums, he is so much better at it then any of his other instruments, except i do love his crazy good voice

  • i hear tons of zep in it :)

  • hard not too

  • Yep hard not too indeed!

  • Favourite song off the album.

  • Lyrically hysterical, great guitar as power tool noise, driving on the treadmill stuff..Sweat!

  • I'm seeing them next week and I'm sure it will destroy. I'm just a Kyuss / Regular John era guy when it comes to Homme, I kindof wish he'd really go big again. i think he's lost his bearings, from lullibies onward he's not the same, but he's still one of the best.

  • Mr. Grohl rocking the vox on the chorus!

  • Yeah finally! I was thinking the ONLY thing missing was some Dave Grohl vocals - I still wish they traded off some more on the album. But then again it is damn awesome as is...

  • Have any of you guys listened to scumbag blues yet? or any of the other songs for that matter. I hear a lot of zeppelin in these guys and qotsa, although this song is more queens and foo fighters than anything

  • Finally, somebody else who feels the same way. I don't dislike it, necessarily, but it's not as good as what I was expecting. Sounds too much like QOTSA to have real influence from either of the other two members.

  • really i hear some zeppelin, but not much nirvana. I never really got into QOTSA so i wouldnt know what they should sound like.

  • it's like a mix between what QOTSA is and The Eagles of Death Metal (Josh's other band)

  • nooooo

  • I will, thanks! :)

  • Yea it's largely Homme's influence but it's not exactly bad. Pretty much a queens album but more rocky, which is good coz their recent shit is too avante garde. All of this is just my opinion mind you.

  • Avante-Garde? lolwut

  • oh infidel, what a pillar of douchebaggery you are, sheep do not listen to rock of such superior quality as TCV, please save your comments for butt rock videos and gay porn as your opinions are not welcome regarding this band. piss off

  • haha well said!

  • i havent listened to shit like this since velvet revolver's contraband, fucking makes me wanna shoot up some cocaine or shit like that you know?

  • fucking great! 5/5

    come to stockholm btw!

  • FUCK YEAH.

  • Wow, best new music I've heard in a long time. can't wait for the show at the Wiltern!

  • yeah you don't get it often (I mean a band being formed with well known stars to form a "super group") but this is definitely something beautiful :)

  • Sick JPJ bassline

  • Amazing, some sexy shit...

  • the intro to this sounds kyuss like like old kyuss

  • D.I.Y kit lobotomy!

  • josh is a super nice guy BTW

  • the best ever.

  • Fucking Cool!

  • The outro is epic!

  • Thank god! Most music today is generic, bland, synthy pop shit calling itself 'R&B' - it's great to hear some proper music still being released!

  • dave rulez!

  • Grohl's vocals kicks asses

  • dave's backup vocals are amazing :D

    fuckin' ace song!

  • finally some real music. come on Jimmy, it's your turn.

  • @clusterstudios Damn straight. I'm ready to hear it!

  • I can'a imagine any of the songs on this album being Singles... because they are so awesome to be ruined and overplayed and they hands down beat all of the commercial, over produced, auto tuned to shit songs in the charts. Jesus i love this!

  • OHMYGOD!!!...i love this!can't wait for the album to be released!!
