good playing, try using roundwound strings though, yours sound either really old or flatwound, and play closer to the bridge so your harmonics can ring out more

@JEVentrillon: actually, he's playing a fretless, so it makes sense that he would be using flatwounds, as they don't chew up the neck as much. that's pretty commonplace, and a lot of people love that growly jaco tone. but you're right about playing closer to the bridge for the harmonics. all in all though, this was totally groovey.

@moonsnake42 Actually mate, it is still a Fretted bass. You can see the Fret Seperators if you look closely. You may think its just not fretted because it has no inlays, but, i see where your comign from, as the lines are not too easy to see.

@Bassyman331: No man, it's definitely a fretless, just a lined fretless. They make it a whole lot easier to play a fretless after playing fretted basses.

@moonsnake42 Ahh never heard of a lined frettless :) Sorry for the misunderstanding. I used to own a fretless but, never realy liked it so i sold it. Never knew you could get lined fretlesses, might look into getting one :)

MIKHAIL1311, vic does not do it more sharp, because it's supposed to be more a melo type of song. it's just hes signature Fodera bass that gives it the more distinguished sound. good cover man p.s. love the jazz

Well instead of using the same strings you use A,D,G strings for the first 3, then the higest is the same as the highest string on a 6 string, and it is tuned to C. Just picked it up last night, it sounds great w/ amazing grace, and the lesson.
