Doesn't really matter, imo finding a 1h wep and off-hand item for good stats is a little more annoying than just finding a staff with good staff, but ultimately you should just use whichever you find that has the best stats, like if you have a great staff, use it, if you then find a 1h wep and off-hand item with better stats, switch to that

shadow priests are mainly used to keep healers mana regaining constant. the shadow priests damage will never exceed any other spell caster. (except if you're way out gearing them)

I have a shadow priest( well had, i just respeced, wanted to tr something else, playing with gear and talents atm) but i had( and still have) 340 shadow spell damage plus all the added spell dam from shadow tree, and I did crit 1800 a few times, but normal crit is about 1000-1300, my Shadow word: pain ticks for over 200.. so for the ones that ever crossed RICHEOUSPIE's path.. they know I hurt

LOL my friend, you are a completely crappy ass noob. My shadow priest is 70, Shadownage - The Underbog, armory up. Best crit i can possibly do without any dots or buffs from others is just over 2000 [I have a damage calc addon], with DoTs its around 2500, and with raid buffs and a nice shammy in my group ive pulled off a 3300. There is no way a 49 priest can crit 2k, aight buddy. No matter how twinked. 1300 would be around the very best i could immagine. So go l2p pls.

Well i agree Udontknow its fucking insane crit by that lvl he must have spent for like 700-1000g on that priest i got a 44 and i spent 400g and i got 200 shadow damage and i can crit for 700. but he crits 1170 in an other called 1vs4. and i have been checking thottbot for the lvl 46 mindblast. its a fucking insane crit he does i Tottaly agree!!... dont misunderstnad that!
