  • @zorrokun in my opinion , that distance concerning what is semi pro and expert is smaller today. d7000 is perhaps all we want. go to... freedslr dot com change dot with . and try to get a chance to bring home a new Nikon D7000

  • wait so the D80 cant take videos 0_0 oh well cant afford the D90 rite now, as a hobby camera.

  • Yeah I can't really afford it right now either...but Im buying it anyway lol

  • lol

  • you guys have to remember that this is nikon's first brave step merging an slr and a video camera while still attempting to retain high image quality. i think they have a little bit more tweaking to go in order to be up to par with canon's hv30. and when that comes, boom: nikon ftw.

  • The still images and the movie clips might have been the d90 but I bet you anything the sound wasn't.

  • yeah the auto exposure jumps are annoying..

  • then you simply use exposure lock

  • What a horrible auto gain control looks like a Nokia phone.

I see they also took great care panning and zooming so to hide the rolling shutter artifacts!!!

  • I really hope you can use some kind of AE-lock... is that possible? Otherwise things will look very amateur-ish

  • Yes you can.

  • What exactly means "rolling shutter artifacts"?

This camera should capture light a lot better than conventional of the shelf video cameras.

  • is the auto gain where the light compensates - i no nothing, but i noticed this on the promo material

  • so excited
