Too cold to use gasoline to seat the bead. Next time carry air and a ratcheting tie down or a can of carb cleaner or even better, clear spray paint. It will pop that bead right on there. You have to be prepared when you go  riding.

@mike15101 Wrong buddy, if they had used ether end left it on all 4's with some weight on the tire, lit it then kicked it, it would've popped onto bead. I've had to do this twice on my Raptor due to low pressure and hard rock hits.

In the Discovery Channel show (Extreme 4X4's) that you're trying to emulate, they used hair spray, which is atomized after it is sprayed, and much faster burning that way. They key is atomization.

ether (starting fluid) reacts many times faster then petrol . with quick expansion the tire catches the exposive pressure and seals and inflats the tire . to much and it blows up in your face, to little and this shit happen in the video . and yes i guess hairspray would work too

The theory behind combustion is liquids dont burn, only gases. To ignite, gasoline (or ether) must first evaporate and saturate with oxygen so if you pour liquid gasoline in the tire, its going to burn at its vaporization rate. If it were all vapor itd be more explosive.

Since this video Ive done this a few times. First with carb cleaner with mixed results, but then with propane which works just about every time.

first, propane is fine , but on offroad expeditions I have lead propane was rarely

avialable (or a good delivery device like a blowtorch head)but ya propane /butane would both work . starting fluid is a commonly carried fuel so that is why i like it.Hairspray will work to but will leave the tire VERY sticky . gasoline sucks as a good explosive thats whu its never used in spud guns while propane/butane , hairspray and starting fluid are excellent propellant explosives

Why not? I've had ride back on a flat a few times. Quad tires are run at a low pressure anyways. I run around 5 psi in my tires.

spray lots starting fluid inside the tire use a ligher and the can to make a tourch and flame the tire do it quick before it evaporates. i do it with semi tires all the time when they wont take air. it might take a few tries trust me it does work.
