  • they were on a MTV special that they played all their hits live on tv in the mid 80's wish I could find that.

  • Saw them headline with Loverboy opening. Both were tremedous!

  • Your right toalewe.

  • Saw them in 80 and 82. In the top 10 all time greatest bands ever and that is saying alot.

  • I need those Les Pauls......wow.

  • i saw this tour and i concur on thier awesomeness.

  • That Powerplay Tour was AMAZING!!!!!!! Wish they could put that on DVD.

  • It's just like a bad time...you have to make it good on your own.

  • the rhythm guitars together sound HUGE....!!!!

  • What ever happened to 50 50 50 50....

  • @grgoldner NICE ONE!!!! LOL

  • This is prime-era April Wine (hate to say it because I was just getting into all the albums at that time.)

Nature Of The Beast is a wonderfully loose, fun almost punk-y album compared to the more cool, calculated work that followed. There are a number of albums before NOTB that are also great - Harder Faster, First Glance, etc.

So why did they abruptly change?

Goodwyn said they worried about becoming 'rock dinosaurs' - ironic since the late-sixties rock sound now outlives the eighties sound.

  • wow! i found this video casually and they're kickass!why on earth nobody told me about them?!

  • This is my favorite April Wine song!!!!!!!! Thanks for posting it dude! Fuckin' "A"!!!

  • @ConcertKing1 i got this album in 1980.(I know long time ago)I still love it.Bought it on cd.Got my wife into it too.

  • Anyone who saw the April Wine tours in the States in 81 and 82 were blown away - believe me...

    They made a huge impression.

  • awsome band/album

  • People ask why April Wine fissled in the early 80's - I say it was because of success and "money". The asshole record companies began to call their shots.

They lost focus on what made them great;and it had everything to do with all 5 members of the band.

Money ruins everything. Take a good look at the world today. They were at their best - When they did what THEY 'All' wanted to do musically. Rock on Gary Moffet!

  • Awsome!
