  • Has this uni got a good reputation for film studies or creative writing? (i am doing both if i enroll :D)

  • @BangCoachesNeverDies - I'm currently doing Creative Writing and it's apparently one of the best courses in the country, and it also has links with Columbia College in Chicago, which is brilliant too, and a lot of our course is based off theirs. I'm really loving the course so far, too, and Bath's a fantastic place to study writing as it's got so many lit festivals and general lit stuff going on all the time. As for Film Studies, I have no idea, sorry.

  • any idea what the extra curric stuff is like what is there to do and stuff :) its my 1st offer yay :D

  • @LittleLiviX I recommend you ask about that if you come on an open day as they talk a lot about that. I myself am a rather rubbishy social person, so I don't do much in the way of extra curric stuff and haven't looked into it much. I know there's a CU, a ton of sports teams, and various societies and clubs, but I'm afraid I don't know much about them, sorry. There might be info about them on the Bath Spa website though.

  • What's the accomadation like? I'm thinking of going there to do graphic communication. Got an open day in december

  • @Tommehhx I'm in the cheapest accommodation and I love it. There are nine of us in our block, and it's like a little family - you never have to worry about waiting for showers or anything. They'll show you most of the accommodation on the campus tour at the open day - I didn't film it because they were people's bedrooms and I thought it'd be rude. There's also two offsite blocks which are more expensive and fancy, and also independent housing which second/third years have.

  • bath spa is in the middle of nowhere lol, when you think of bath you think of it in the centre of bath, but nope lol

  • @xaxie1 Yeah, but it's only a little way from the centre of town. About 15 minutes-ish by bus, and they're every 20 mins in term time. It's a good mix, I think, because you don't have to put up with the craziness of a city aaaall the time, and the campus is stunning. It's all rather like a close-knit community too. :)

  • I am staying on campus too, in SY. I am studying eduction and geography :D Are you on Facebook?

  • @reggieveggie11 Sent you a private message.

  • Awesome! I move into Bath Spa on Saturday too! Where are you studying?

  • @reggieveggie11 I'll be on the main campus. I'm studying English and Creative Writing - you?

  • Did you apply to go to Bath Spa?

  • @reggieveggie11 Yes, I did, and I accepted the offer I got and will be there as of Saturday. :)
