this engine is so outdated....i cant believe that even my i7/4gb/gtx280 are laggin this..when i can Play WoW without a spike...even in Battlegrounds...its just the Graphic Engine is so unoptimized for i7 and Graphics Card...believe it or not i get full cpu usage and 10-30% gpu usage even with gpu animation on..its crappy :D either update the engine or ... :D

@kolofagos u will not this game engine is so old :D u will not see a difference between a dual core and quad core or an i7..its just so frustrating to lag when this game is so crappy in terms of graphics..

Do u have nVidia card? If that so, go to nVidia control panel=> Video applet => Ajust video image settings => program settings. Then, set path to LineageII.exe and chose this parameters:

1.Anisotropic filtering - 16x

2. Antialising gamma correction - on

3. MAximum pre-rendered frames - 8

4.Texture filtering - anisotropic sample option - on

5. Texture filtering - negative LOD bias - Clamp

Stupid test, it shows nothing. The same I can show you on my athlon 3000+ 2gb ram and x1650 video. If you want test la2, show on your pc how it works at castle siege, raid boss, (where are 500+ players at one time)

btw dude, is it really worth buying a "spaceship" of a computer nowdays? besides mmorpgs and rts games I don't see what a computer has against a ps3 (especially now that the ps3 is cheap)

but about the ps3 vs pc... do some research in the web, u will find out the games have better graphics at PC version than ps3/xbox ones, no kidding. You can see screenshots, etc, to compare.

I know the graphics are better on the pc versions, the problem is that they DON'T MAKE pc versions anymore.

@sugipulaboule PS3 is a large scale shit. Xbox is ok but Sony Playstation were best ever b4. I still remeber long hours in Armored core, DEvil may cry etc with old and perfect PS2.

Besides, go and check on Graphic quality, compare even GTA 4 on PS3 / Xbox / PC, Battlefield series (especially bad company 2 and bf 3). Crysis 2. And releasing Skyrim on PS3 was nothing all than a fail.

@sugipulaboule ohh i forgot. "Spaceship" Pc contains 4x CPU (12x core each). ;)

and for max details it doesn't cost a mountain of coin lol. New games are "eating" CPU a lot, graphic is still cool, even if u run new games on 2 years olf graphic card, but for end-effect u need a decent CPU, and decent motherboard wich can unleash real power of ur pc components, especially ram.

Is not necesary have that computer to play Lineage 2 like that. I have a Pentium 4 with 1.5 GB RAM and a GeForce 8400 GS and i play the game with the same efects like you beacuse de Lineage 2 engine is older. And the lag is not caused by your computer, is caused by a bad server or a bad internet conection. Whatever, you have a very nice computer =)!!

PD: In Tera (next NCSoft MMO) you are going to see the true potential of your machine!! Sory my bad english.

@jo53ha I agree with you, also in privates servers, most of the lags is ebcause servers are C4 modded to gracia/hellboun etc, so there are issues in the client-server comunication (bad patching)

@jo53ha Downlad fraps, go and play a siege with 200 players and come back and tell me that your cpu is powerfull enough.

with a P4 in 200 people sieges you will get 5fps, you cant target with 5fps the game is unplayable.

But the images on the video are not from sieges. When i play sieges, i put it on low graphics but in the rest of the time (98% of the time), full graphics =)

Your video card is great but not great enough. The HD 4600 series is better, and it costs less than your card ( about 136$ ) and the start of the 4600 series ( about 77$ ). If you want to improve your video card, you should buy HD 4850+ or maybe even the HD 5000 series.
