I hate to stumble over the sweet gift of this performance with analysis, but the metaphoric contrast between the innocence of the growing tree and the loss of innocence that constitutes our life experience is so presented so beautifully in both the words and music.

That said, if she were singing in a foreign language unknown to me, it would be just as sweet and enjoyable.
