under the old republic nope it was highly frowned upon but palpatine purged the jedi and the order was quite shy on jedi, so the jedi that luke trained in essence allowed for them to have children who would eventually become jedi so forth

I'd Agree if it werent for the fact that in the end it really WAS Anakin who destroyed the dark side. Killing the Emperor and all. Who used him. Manipulated his lust for power and changed the cause that Anakin had for wanting the power completely. When he killed the younglings he wasn't really in his right mind and all. Luke was just... pulled into it and Obi-wan was just helping Anakin on his way to fulfilling the prophecy.

Interesting fact about starwars saga: The main central characters remain from begining to the end. Vader, Yoda, Obi Wan, C3po, R2D2, and the emperor. The other characters aren't introduced like Chewbaca, Greedo , Jaba, Boba fett ect.

For those who don't know,Mara Jade was playable character in Old Jedi Knight expansion game named Mysteries of the sith,there she was good natured right from start(i guess she left Palpatine service already)and was teach in ways of jedi by no other but famous Kyle Katarn.She even saved Kyle when he started to fall to dark side. Also her unique purple lightsaber was introduced there for a first time.Whats great about her is that she was first female jedi introduced into star wars franchise.

I thoroughly Enjoyed that, I didn't read much of the aftermath of Return of the Jedi, I know Luke became a sithlord for a brief time and was redeemed by Leia as a jedi, Looks like he managed to get a Hot Wife later on, Cool too that he becomes a jedi master and eventually respawns the new order of Jedi. Wonderful tribute to one of the most loved characters of all time. Thanx!
