  • Love the tone here!!

  • you should totally use the teddy bear on stage too. that would be awsome.

  • most gorgeous guitar

  • This guys great! Know hows to get some sweeeet tone!

  • Nice tone greg very smooth and creamy what was the treble and bass set at. I have a 1965 deluxe reverb but the previous owner put a jensen reissue in it and the overdrive is very fizzy. I was thinking about throwing a 30 watt greenback in there, what do you think? What tubes do you have in there and are you running the bias hot.

  • when I play deluxe reverbs I set the treble on 2-3 and bass on 5. I don't know much about speakers, I prefer the originals

  • Hey Greg,

What speaker is in this Deluxe Reverb?

What speaker would you recomend for a '64 deluxe reverb?

  • the original oxford

  • Great playing and awesome tone. I have a '67 Deluxe Reverb just like yours in the video. Had it over 15 years, unbeatable.

  • fine guitar and tone is great

  • nice, just as it breaks upp!! the tone gets creamy, i find it a bit harsh and hard to controll though,,,i have the same amp, i dunno if you have the same problem, its just a feeling maybe. love the tone and playing though man keep it up

  • These old Deluxe rverbs are much easier to control

  • yeah i have an oorgional 65' blackface, i think i just might have to switch the speakers out cause they like to crack a LOT after 7.

  • a great clinic! you showed us how to use the whole neck to play the blues; different positions, building phrases. Well done, G...well done, indeed!

  • Nice tone.

  • I like it! I also have a deluxe rev from '65 and it's great, but my '64 super reverb 4x10" is my nr.1 AMP! I play a '61 ES-345 w.orig. PAF's and '66 ES-330 for the blues, and they are a great combination with a vintage fender amps, don't you think? wow, great feeling man!

  • thanks! shure - great collection!

  • No effect, just in? Great tone!

  • No effects, just the guitar and the deluxe reverb

  • Gregor congratulations !

Great phrasing ! Great TONE ...as in all other videos I' ve seen of you !

  • I do not know how he can play so well without living in the U.S. However, I must admit the boy can play and that is all that matters!!

  • What do you mean play well without living in the US? There are plenty of guitar geniuses you have no idea about that don't live in the US

  • You wouldn't understand.

  • well then explain your point because it makes no sense to me either

  • If I have to explain it you'll never get it.

  • you have no explanation, thats why.

  • I think some US folks are so ethno-centric they cannot understand that music exists outside of the US, and is a universal art-given that blues is originally a US idiom, it took the Brits to show them that it actually has value, back in the early 60's-with Clapton etc developing it further.

  • I personally think you are very stupid. If not, prove me wrong and explain to me why it surprises you that a non US living person plays that well guitar. I'm interested in hearing your explanation.

  • man where have you been for the last 40 years

  • I live in holland and was born in England and I have seen plenty of amazing players in both countries, many even better than Greg (no offense). So Indeed I must take the stand of the mainstream here and indeed announce your statement to be completely preposterous. So please do explain, for the fact that you are quite ridiculing yourself.

  • Suck my balls and stop taking things that people say on youtube so seriously.

  • You make a 'ridiculous' statement and then tell me to suck your balls. Well I suppose as you said earlier we must not take you all that serious. Therefor the 'suck my balls' thing shall linger on in vain.

  • Not at all, I'd happily suck his balls! I live outside the US however so I'm not too sure whether my ball sucking ability would be as good as that which he is receiving in the US.

I agree with him though US guitarists are the best.

  • Great playing man. I have a E230TD Casino from 1967. Check it out, I posted a response to yours. Thanks.

  • Are you playing through that twin reverb behind you??

  • it is a 1965 Fender Deluxe Reverb

  • you have such a cool vibrato

  • Hey guy,

I like a lot you sound. But i´d like to know if that Guild S-100 just behind you is also part of your nice guitar collection.

    Good luck.

  • Yes I have one of those carved Guild S-100. Nice Guitar

  • i love your guitars, and your videos too...

    nice guitar player.

  • Oooooh man, nice guitar. Nice playing too, you have very interesting videos

  • Oh man! I want one of those!!!

  • thats my dream guiter!

  • Mine too

  • mine as well

  • Dito,but in a lefty

  • Great tone and chops!!

  • Great way to build that solo!!

  • nice!

  • amazing playing! your tone is unbelievable, you should post the whole video.

  • Fantastic playing & tone! Is that an original stop tail 335, or did it have a trapeze originally?

  • the guitar has a maestro vibrato plus custom made plaque. Both is still in the case

  • Very good - thanks.

  • Beautiful sweet Gibson ! Great player :)

  • Fantastic!

Can i ask how the tone is set on your guitar, i cannot get a tone anywhere yours at all! I can see your on the treble pickup but what sort of gain is on your amp etc

    Thanks

    J.
