Nice tone greg very smooth and creamy what was the treble and bass set at. I have a 1965 deluxe reverb but the previous owner put a jensen reissue in it and the overdrive is very fizzy. I was thinking about throwing a 30 watt greenback in there, what do you think? What tubes do you have in there and are you running the bias hot.
nice, just as it breaks upp!! the tone gets creamy, i find it a bit harsh and hard to controll though,,,i have the same amp, i dunno if you have the same problem, its just a feeling maybe. love the tone and playing though man keep it up
I like it! I also have a deluxe rev from '65 and it's great, but my '64 super reverb 4x10" is my nr.1 AMP! I play a '61 ES-345 w.orig. PAF's and '66 ES-330 for the blues, and they are a great combination with a vintage fender amps, don't you think? wow, great feeling man!
I think some US folks are so ethno-centric they cannot understand that music exists outside of the US, and is a universal art-given that blues is originally a US idiom, it took the Brits to show them that it actually has value, back in the early 60's-with Clapton etc developing it further.
I personally think you are very stupid. If not, prove me wrong and explain to me why it surprises you that a non US living person plays that well guitar. I'm interested in hearing your explanation.
I live in holland and was born in England and I have seen plenty of amazing players in both countries, many even better than Greg (no offense). So Indeed I must take the stand of the mainstream here and indeed announce your statement to be completely preposterous. So please do explain, for the fact that you are quite ridiculing yourself.
You make a 'ridiculous' statement and then tell me to suck your balls. Well I suppose as you said earlier we must not take you all that serious. Therefor the 'suck my balls' thing shall linger on in vain.
Not at all, I'd happily suck his balls! I live outside the US however so I'm not too sure whether my ball sucking ability would be as good as that which he is receiving in the US.
I agree with him though US guitarists are the best.
Can i ask how the tone is set on your guitar, i cannot get a tone anywhere yours at all! I can see your on the treble pickup but what sort of gain is on your amp etc
Love the tone here!!

when I play deluxe reverbs I set the treble on 2-3 and bass on 5. I don't know much about speakers, I prefer the originals
GregsGuitars 1 year ago
Hey Greg,
What speaker is in this Deluxe Reverb?
What speaker would you recomend for a '64 deluxe reverb?

a great clinic! you showed us how to use the whole neck to play the blues; different positions, building phrases. Well done, G...well done, indeed!

I do not know how he can play so well without living in the U.S. However, I must admit the boy can play and that is all that matters!!
Immaculate416 3 years ago
What do you mean play well without living in the US? There are plenty of guitar geniuses you have no idea about that don't live in the US
emptio 2 years ago
You wouldn't understand.
Immaculate416 2 years ago
well then explain your point because it makes no sense to me either
gopre29 2 years ago
If I have to explain it you'll never get it.
