  • fantastic video. thanks for caring ;)

  • In reply to mathiastheok's comment:

Many animals in zoos are endangered or their population is dwindling in the wild. Animals in zoos that are AZA accredited are on a specific breeding plan and many are put on some form of birth control.

  • beautiful

  • You have got to be kidding with these remarks!! Do you really not understand the difference in a zoo environment vs the thousands of abandoned kittens, cats, puppies & dogs that are killed every day at "shelters"? Your remarks are very disappointing that there is actually someone out there that thinks that it's about $. I suggest that you spend just one day volunteering at your local animal control/animal services... then see if you still think spay/neuter is about making $ off it.

  • mathiastheok:

    Your ignorance makes me laugh.

You do realize that millions of dogs and cats get euthanized because of over population? You do realize that they don't spay or neuter animals at the zoo because they are trying to help advance the species, especially for endangered animals.

Vets and breeders want us to neuter/spay because there are SO many health benefits, and it will control the rising pet population.

Its not a scam, you're just ignorant.

  • LOL.

Sorry there are no health benefits to surgically removing an animals reproductive capabilities.

Your actually foolish enough to believe that the biological goal of every species on this planet it to reproduce,. So instead of continuing your blabbering why don't you post some of these health benefits....it shouldn't be too hard since there are "SO" many.....lol

  • Sure thing!

    For dogs:

-Over 80% of all unneutered male dogs develop prostate disease, neutering a dog will eliminate the risk of the disease.

-There are tumors whose growth is stimulated by testosterone, and they are very rare in those who are castrated (neutered)

-Testicular tumors are a problem, so if you neuter the dog there will be no problem.

Would you like me to continue for the cats, or do you get the idea?

  • Sorry, try again.

Prostate disease is related to diet, not the dogs reproductive system. Stop feeding your dog dry food and canned crap. Raw food only... just like they eat in the wild.

Tumor growth is stimulated by glucose not testosterone you fool. Glucose come from the carbs and crap in the crappy food people feed their dogs.

Yes continue for the cats so I can embarrass you more.

  • There are several benefits of neutering/spaying animals. They get rid of their heat cycle, they get calmer, they wont be roaming to try and find a mate, animal shelters wont be overcrowded. So... What is the disadvantages of spay/neutering? Just that you compare domesticated pets with wild zoo animals says alot about you tbh

  • I think dog shows also contribute to people buying purebreds. They make people think that purebreds are the best...

  • If you had a purebred that the breeders had for generations and did genetic testing and all that crap, it can be better because it can result in a healthier dog.

  • usually mutts are healthier and live longer than purebreds.

  • Responsible breeders do NOT add to the problem, on the contrary.

If that wouldn't constantly be brought up, maybe people would see that the rest of the message makes sense, but this way it comes over as boyy, telling people what type of cat to get.

  • the problem is that responsible breeders are very few. responsible breeder sell the puppies already neutered, so they don´t add to the problem. but that is not the most usual.

  • Maybe where you are from, but here most breeders neuter their cats young. Our cat population problems are mostly coming from stupid farmers having dozens of cats, often sick, and not giving a damn about neutering them.

For dogs, neutering is only done for the females on a regular base but most breeders do that. For some breeds it is the law. We have little to none stray dog problems as almost none are born as strays.

  • that was raily preety. it's so sad i would adopt more pets if i could. it seems that all the grown ups think about is them selves it's up to the kids to save the world i'm talking about so much besides the animal population also globle warming. you can get your pet spayed ar neutered very louge and you should. many things can hapen if you don't like humans how many things can hapen to us i mean serisly think about a little more then your self but your self in the pets spot imagnine that.

  • zynka you are really helping 1000s of animals stay alive with this vid...

  • Just commenting again to tell you how awesome of a job you're doing - thanks for standing up for animals! NEVER GIVE IN!

  • Thank you so much and I really hope people spay or neuter their pets, they are so much friendlier after they get the surgery! Before I got my cat Jasper neutered he would spray the house (a.k.a. marking his territory) but it would smell so horrible that we had to throw out the carpet and the couch! lol it was funny but now hes so much friendlier and really happy.

  • Great job!! 100% 5/5 stars!

  • Great info!:) People must spay and neuter their pets!

  • Every minute, 10 shelter pets without homes are put to sleep. Awesome vid; I hope it convinces some people to spay or neuter their animal companions because that's very important.
