Mai capito perche poi il Parallelo sia stato eliminato e sia scomparso dalle competizioni sciistiche
assolutamente mitico per tutti quelli della mia generazione! io gli affiancherei la vittoria dimennea contro wells,italia brasile 3-2,e la coppa davis di panatta e bertolucci!quando lo sport e' emozione purissima!

Stenmark was treated very badly this day. On the way to the race, the police stopped his car. They tried to hold him back as long as they could. Finaly they let him go. Afterwards his trainer, who drived the car, made an accident. The car was completley damaged, specially on Stenmarks side. Before the final against Thoeni, the spectators threw snowballs at him. I even heard, that they rub him with snow. Also Klammer was disadvantaged. The italians manipulated the draw. What a win for Thoeni.
Fantastic finale to the 74/75 season. Thoeni deserved to win, Stenmark´s career was still just gaining momentum. It was quite obvious that he would be the next champion.
Stenmark's superiority in Slalom and even more so in Giant Slalom was unique. Who came close? Maybe Tomba and around 1985 Girardelli in Slalom.
In 1975 Thöni, Stenmark and Klammer all had 240 points. The overall winner was decided in a Parallel Slalom, leaving no chance for Klammer. Having won 8 out of 9 downhill races, he'd also deserved to win.
I think Stenmark once won 13 Giant Slaloms in a row, and Klammer 10 downhills. Never reached again.
