I guess I'm not clear on that. Any govt that is hostile to US interests risks conflict with the US. That's the way the US maintains it's credibility as the leader of the democratic world. I don't know what you mean by govts being replaced by hostile ones. Could you point out an example.

Well I won't deny that Kissinger promoted leaders he felt were friendly to western style democracy during the cold war. I don't think people understand the threat communism posed. No one in this country would ever like to live under Stalin or Mao. But those two individuals ruled the commie world. And we installed the Shah and took over Guatemala in the 50's. So HK was certainly not the first to pursue the policy of the Cold War..

Henry Kissinger is an enemy of democracy. He never listens to anyone but himself. He is so stuck on himself he can't see any issues clearly and almost always ends up making the wrong choices usually involving other peoples deaths. I fail to understand why anyone listens to this arrogant pig about anything. I wouldn't let him mow my lawn. He'd screw it up.
