my parents took me and my brother to the wrestling show for his 7th birthday. (i was 10). the ectar county collisium in odessa tx. there were maybe 50 people total there. the first match was some shmoe and a mystery oppenent. that oppenent was the missing link. we were in the 3rd row. (with nobody in front of us at all)he stalks around the ringside and stops dead in front of us. me and my brother were frozen in fear. he grabs chair in front of us and bashes his head.we nearly pooped ourselve
@ZenPimps this was respectfully done...the only thing remaining...the final piece of the puzzle...HALL OF FAME!!!...give the man the respect he deserves!
@bigpapapapa You hit on something there. I doubt the WWE will ever induct him...but what about the NWA or Cauliflower Alley...none of this guys haven't given Dewey his props yet? Why is a good question...
@Juyray yeah he helped me in a fight :steve austin, the undertaker, yokozuna and the nexus attacked me but i kicked thier ass and chockslamed yokozuna
then, the rock and eddie guerrero apeared so i broke rock's legs and frogsplashed eddie and i got tired but randy savage, hulk hogan, ric flair and rey mysterio attacked me i beatd them all and when abdullah the butcher came, dewey killed him with a headbut then i pulled the back of my hair and just took off r i p missing link
This was Deweys second to last public apearance. He had on more at the Pro Wrestling Hall Of Fame Dinner shortly after this one. We had a great hime with him on may 5 and at the pwhof dinner. We were very luck to have driven there and back with him. Alot of great stories!!Who knew it would be his last match?? Smith Hart Matt Ayres and Pretty Boy Chuck Simms.
I worked out in the same gym as Dewey for more than 10 years. He kept himself in great shape right up until the end. He was quite a character in real life too. Always loud but very friendly. He would constantly flirt with all the girls. Some of them less than half his age! You can't tell how tall he was from these videos but he was huge. Larger than life in more ways than one.
wow, brings back so many memories.... one of the great characters ever... i didnt know he passed till now...r.i.p and thanks for the memories
