If I had a way of making money, I would much prefer to live out and away than in a city. It's risky, you have to plan when shopping, know how to do serious first aid, but the neighbors are always friends because they know they might depend upon you just as you might have to depend upon them.

@yoyo762 They only come if you want the help. But Free Staters help each other move, that's what the Free State Project is all about. And Free Staters believe in ZAP, zero aggression principle. Never heard yet of one hurting another. But your comment reflects the mistrust city dwellers have. I used to be one too. It's not like that in the country, generally. (Getting on my Hank Williams soapbox). Reasons for that, the biggest is that everyone knows everybody, & character is everything
I do not think it is rediculous to move to the sticks to get away from a perceived government encroachment, that is their right. Living in rural areas also give you many freedoms that you would not likely see in a more populated area, ie various pathetic zonening laws. It can allow for one if they chose to more easily grow their own food and build small electric generating wind mills, that would otherwise pose an issue when dealing with zonening laws and or permit costs and restrictions.
As been both a country (cut) and city resident. I prefer the privacy and freedom in the sticks. I now live in a crackhead / noise polluted large town. Its depressing. What people dont realize is after these townhouse complex's and bussiness/ industrial districts finish raping the land for profit; even just a quiet sunday drive will be that of the past. These folks have the right idea.

The idiots are the people who won't be near a doctor who's worth a damn, or any doctor at all, once the government makes it affordable for people like them to get the medical services they need.
Dude you have uploaded over 1000 videos why don't you get a better cam for some better quality video? It looks like you have been recording from a first generation video phone!

I don't think I would want a " flash" group around me while I was moving.
Its a great way to scout out the stuff the person has. Some sharp eyed criminal might spy some valuable item for later burglary .

It's ridiculous that some people are so afraid of the government that they'd move out into the woods in the middle of nowhere.

What is more rediculous? The actions and moves the government (U.S.) are taking or these people who move out into the sticks.

I love Sonoma Co.. It's a gardener's paradise as Luther Burbank said. But the Co. govt. is shite. and the state govt. is worse. It's a trade-off.
Good luck in NH.

The cat will likely return. Its probably hanging out in the woods watching the people and being a little freaked out by a bunch of noisy strangers.
