I've come to believe that for the Inheritance Cycle to really be adapted into movies well, because it's so often compares to other series, it needs to be done by fans. Now the dragon had great graphics. My complaint about this movie (being as I didn't read the book) the battle scenes just looked really cheap. I think they should reboot this movie because it could be great to see all three of them at there full potential.
The movie was complete shit when compared to the book, however if you imagine the movie as an independent entity without comparing it to the book, it is decent.
It was said that Eragon is "Brown hair boy with brown eyes that looks pretty on face, looks male" when producer read it as "stupid farmboy that doesn't need to fit a book" and there we got one. Damn it.
I liked the film. OK, it's different but I don't think it's a bad film. They probably just didn't plan to make a second. That's why the end is different.
I'm just disapointed by the look of Durza. I think he should be a pretty guy.

they can't make a sequel the second book ELDEST has two plots that intertwine one Eragon goes to get training from the elves , TWO Roran his cousin goes in prusute of his fiance Katrine who was kiddnaped by the Ra-zak ( which they killed of in the first movie) in fact the ra zak don't get killed till the third book and the second story can't exist with out them + the movie SUCKED MONKEY BALLS !!!!!!!! The movie is an insult the creative genius of the books and i hope they don;t make another!

The movie was OK, it could have been better I went with my friends fam and they were all like oh it was awesome but me and my friend who had read it were like spazzing out when Brom died and other places that were wrong. Eragon and Murtagh were hott though.
i can't wait for brisingir to come out, although i don't live in the US, so i have to wait for the translators to finish it and release the book as soon as possible.. (i speak spanish)

yeah.People who admit faults are rare, especially on the internet.
i kinda got shocked by the end.I was angry that murtagh was stronger...since it wasnt very logical i thought.One more thing, i still dont get how the ancient spell binds someone to a promise.What happens when someone does lie?eh...irratates me..

me too! but he let eragon live so he is good despite the fact that he is with galbatorix! as for your question i am not sure but i suppose that they swear in the ancient language and as its magical its like a spell .. if someone lies i dont think that its possible because his control belongs to someone (Galbatorix, Nasuada)...

saphira wouldnt die after eragon. she has a 50-50 chance of dying but if shes strong of heart shell live on. the scene in which brom and saphira tell eragon wat wud happen if eragon died is wrong.

They cannot go against their promise, fore it is in the ancient language. The only way to change is to go a different path and change their true names, as what the book says anyway lol.

the movie was so fuckin messed up!!!!! since its so fucked up its impossible to make a sequel movie with all the important charectars they left out , and the charecters personalitys were nothing like in the book! the only charecters in the movie that were good were murtagh! and u want to know wat important thing they left out in the movie that would make it prob impossible to make the 3rd and 4th movie?! solembum!! he is so freakin important!!!!!!!!!!

The movie was OK, it could have been better I went with my friends fam and they were all like oh it was awesome but me and my friend who had read it were like spazzing out when Brom died and other places that were wrong. Eragon and Murtagh were hott though.

i have never been to see the film, i have read the books and by trailers that i've seen for this film nothing is right, eragon is too old and saphira is the wrong colour and brom is wrong and all the things dont fit the book.

The movie was Awesome if you haven't read the book, from the movie was very much missing compared to book some Ex: Arya:Supposed to look like a elf, Eragon sees Broms Gedwaÿ.. When Brom is dyin he tells Eragon to Scratch some of the skin off his right hand with some wine, it's like if there were 2 lines, book goes straight and the movie goes kinda lot to right Book Movie | / | / | / | |

What people seem to confuse about how good the movie is is the quality. YES, the graphics are stunning, and the visual effects are extraordinary....but staying loyal to the book, HELL NO. end of story. the book was better.
