I have a feeling just about everyone hating on this is hating on it simply because they don't want to feel odd actually liking it. It's not so much GT sucked (although it was indeed worse than the Z series), but it's the english music OST and english voice-overs that made the non-japanese version suck monkey-balls. In this vid for example (0:10 till 0:31) in the jap version, Goku was poking fun at Vegeta because he proposed the fusion himself, while in the past he claimed he would fuse with Goku "over his dead body". Such a pity the western versions need to be all emotional and melodramatic...

Frieza, in his FORM 1 was able to blow up a planet with 1 FINGER.

SSJ1 Goku was able to beat frieza in his last form, WAY stronger than his first form which blew up planet vegeta with 1 FINGER!

The androids were multiple times stronger than frieza, and perfect cell was strong enough to destroy the solar system. Broly destroyed GALAXIES.

How would GT characters even be able to fight on earth without accidentally blowing it up if they're multiple times stronger than THAT?

And after that, it's just beautiful to watch and feel all the emotions that Dragon Ball gave us in all these years, so i wouldn't ask me so many questions.

What I have never got about this; why in Fusion reborn, is Gogeta such a calm, straight to business character, and yet in this he is as goofy as Vegito, surely they would know the fusion wouldn't last long? Also, before you say the movie isn't canon, going by that logic GT isn't either, both were overseen by Toriyama but he didn't have much input.

He makes this VERY clear in an interview (found in Shenron Times Issue 7) in which he a) states clearly that he was only "slightly involved" (his words) b) say he offered some advice here and there on the stories they'd already made (he was not part of the staff) and c) calls himself a "regular viewer" (shows how minimal his involvement was). Toriyama's part in GT was negligible at best-it was not at all his creation.
