FU1800, I thing the best country for french fries is any country with a good deep fryer and potatoes. Remember, the french call them "frites" not "frites francaises". I don't think France need so-called French Fries to enhance its great civilization. So if our Belgian, friends who not more than France need fries to enhance their on civilization, claim fries as their own, I don't think the French care much about it.

The battle of France started on May 10th and lasted 5 weeks. The Germans were victorious against all allies, including the British.
