@philby74 - its not so much you can hearing it. when a bell rings it is because its vibrating at a substantial frequency. the earth and moon's gravity are heavily intertwined. if one were to suddenly vibrate you could use the same instruments people use to study earthquakes to measure its effects. the moon has a profound effect on earth. even the tectonic plates on the earth's surface are moved by its gravity. when NASA said it rang like a bell it literally vibrated at an enormous scale

If the moon was hollow it would have little to no mass. This is not the case. The moon has exactly the amount of gravitational pull we would expect from an object that size, composition and distance from the earth.

The moon IS older than the earth, and hollow, and bigger than it should be for a normal moon of a planet the size of the earth, and it does not rotate but always only shows us one side which other moons don't do...they rotate.

@Godfred78 you do realize that rocks of the moon were brought back in 1969 and carbon tested to 5.3 billion years old, kind of interesting when you take into consideration that the earth is 4.6 billion years old, also metal shavings were found when neil armstrong and buzz aldrin were drilling into the surface, also under telescope observation meteors hitting the moon would cause the moon to vibrate (this was picked up on instruments) for much longer periods than normal (suggesting hollow moon)

I think the periodic cooling/heating and saturation/evaporation may have played a part in the formation of the first complex organic molecules, it's speculated that tidal pools were where this happened.

I would agree that the tides allow for more diversity of life in coastal areas but to say that tidal forces are necessary for life to form can't be proven and I am sure life has evolved without tides on some planet some where and probably on earth aswell.
