Um.. aren't we fighting the war on terror.. No offense, but we have to protect the safety and security of America by defeating the terrorists overseas... not waiting for another 9/11 to happen.
@dillonxprice Alright, but don't say anything against the government. They might send you to Gitmo for being a "terrorist". Or just drop a missile on your head when you leave the country. Because you are a "terrorist". All while we MAKE actual terrorists by antagonizing the people of foreign nations because their governments don't do what we tell them to do.
Your right, leafwatch, this youtube comment programming is way fouled up... Thanks to you and all who took the time to comment. This song has been very memorable for a number of reasons even before it got here. :-)
@Steel545 Damn I hate this new YouTube system. My comment to RonPaulSongs doesn't show, but it's really about your shallow comment. Look it up if you like.
@Steel545 Lower your expectations? This isn't MTV. It's grassroots jammin' for freedom and I hope it will inspire and motivate others in our culture of creativity.
@chucksheen Funny you should mention MTV. A buddy of mine is getting played on MTV alot lately (Zach Blair of Rise Against) /watch#!v=e8X3ACToii0&a=8Z4oJKsfEHA&playnext_from=ML
Honesty is perfect and I'm appreciative of that! Thanks. I like certain parts of this tune like all of the guitar. Other parts, were very difficult like the voice. The message is a tough subject at best. When the song "delivery" begins, I'm at the mercy of the process. They are like children. And I've learned to honor it. They follow the whole scale of working well to not at all. I did like my last song a lot though... Oh well. Perhaps the next will work for you if you haven't given up on me.
@RonPaulSongs I appreciate your good works and your humble, kind response to the snarky comment from Steel. Maybe he prefers the big-budget glitzy artists who pander to popular sentiment and are silent and absent when it's time to speak the truth?
@leafwatch I agree i was a little "snarky" ,as you put it, but sometimes the truth hurts the person telling it also. If i may direct your attention to a 3 Doors Down military commissioned (propaganda) song; Citizen Soldier: /watch?v=pgV6VUinDEA
Sure the drummer is beatin his @ass off and the lead singers veins are poppin' ,but It sounds hollow. Its not coming from the heart.
@Steel545 Why didn't you just say something like this instead of making it (seem to me) so personal? The title of this song first came out, "I don't want your stinkin' war" and the lyrics were nasty. Perhaps I made it to vanilla in toning it down. I had a huge wrestling match with this subject. What would I do and when would I fight to death and kill. How would anyone know these things until the actual situation came...
@RonPaulSongs Because I can't express my feelings in words as eloquent as yourself and for that i apologize. I just think your better than this. But i hope it fired you up! lol I want to see you get MAD!
Whats the name "Ron Paul" or the words "Constitution" or "WAR" sound like coming out of your guitar (a lil wammy bar maybe) ?
@Steel545 You are plenty eloquent, my friend! I appreciate a lot that you would come back & make this comment. That you are listening to the music/message as equals is a big breakthrough in the world of (political) music for me. Playing is joyous to me. War is hugely not. Maybe that's the problem here. They don't fit together. On being mad... most all of my life so far, screaming in faces mad got me in deep doodoo. But I get what you are saying, believe me. Thanks. Yeah, we gotta Rock on! :-)
