I saw clips of the Seoul or Tokyo Olympic opening ceremonies, and indeed you are right, the Beijing ceremony tops them all. China has been and is still a superpower in the world. One of the surviving ancient civilizations and throughout history, it has been influential around its neighboring countries. I saw clips of the Seoul or Tokyo Olympic opening ceremonies, and indeed you are right, the Beijing ceremony tops them all. China has been and is still a superpower in the world. One of the surviving ancient civilizations and throughout history, it has been influential around its neighboring countries. It is not as tyrannic as it seems, since if it can keep in pace with the world ever since the dawning of its culture, it's more open to new ideas than we think! =)

London could easily top it. We could just bring out all the inventions us Brits have made over the years one by one. That would be half the ceremony done with right there. Then just name all the countries we used to rule as part of the Empire. That would be the other half done with and then we can get on with the country procession. Many of which have the Union flag in their corners anyway.
