Necrotic strike does not reduce healing. Necrotic strike is an absorbtion ability which absorbs a certain amount of healing. This amount will stack with each strike you do. On top of that it also reduces the cast time of the afflicted target by 30% for the duration or until the effect has been fully absorbed.

Also a focus Death grip is another macro you want to have. If you're getting ready to kill a target and you have no way of stopping that heal saves you some time. Getting better then the first one i'll give you that much.

Just a lil tip...since dks are usually the first get trained ur #1 stat u want to gem for in resil. For red gems use the orange gem for +20strength +20resil, yellow gems +40 resil. With the blue gems either +50 spell pen or +20 strength +20 hit depending on ur needs. Hope this helps.
