Another thing u can do--before adding the food coloring, split the mix in half. Only color half of it red. Then alternate pouring the uncolored white salt and the red salt in, and the salt will look like a candy cane!

Will the dye you added dye the bath water? Oh and a good idea would be to make a red and just plain white peppermint scents and then layer them

@Megagurl022 That's a great idea i'll probably try that next time!!! On to your question, the food coloring does dye the bath water slightly but, it all depends on how much you put in it. :)
