@pitineo graphics we're that bad back. for this particular game they were doing a lot of new things (like the first open world) which requires a lot of processing power, so to make up for that they had to simplify the models.

I had a dream a couple nights ago that the demo for the sequel had been released and there was a racing game in it and also adventure including a mini adventure where I had to play four characters but they started dying so I quit the game lol! I didn't go google it, I went by memory. I just remember first having it for dreamcast, and then for PC and I thought it was '98.

Doesn't matter it's a great game, and the engine was innovative for that time. GTA III engine reminded me of it except different theme of course.

this (together with Deus Ex) are some of the most underrated PC games in history, sadly not enough publicity was made to advertise them, and a small amount of bugs also got in the way.

but putting those aside, both of those games (omikron and deus ex) are in my humble opinion THE GREATEST GAMES FOR PC EVER!!!!!!!!!!!

all else falls secondary next to these babys, even the mitical half-life or the amazing warcraft (the RTS one, not the MMORPG one) fall short for this one.

I agree with everything you say except about Deus Ex.Deus Ex was not underrated at all, it was marketed to the hilt, got lots of media attention and sold by the bucket load. Omikron however, is truly an underrated game along with Planescape Torment, Beyond Good and Evil and Psychonauts!

lols one of these days i'm hoping too. i just got SOO angry at the second city (after where the character you start out as is forced to die). it was like a REALLY bad maze. and cars kept hitting me whenever i tried to cross the street.

also, this is one of the games that has some xp compatability issues which sadly aren't fixed by the compatability modes options. ie i can't use the ingame map without crashing, and i had to switch to software mode to do the mech shootout mission. :( i hear that a uk re-release of this game fixes some of these issues, SO WHY CAN'T I GET A PATCH!?!?!?

The Dreamcast version looks ugly and is buggy/glitchy. Plus its nearly unplayable when you play it on the DC controller.

It's way more playable on the PC if you have old '98/2000 software on it.
