it is sooo wierd looking at how this neighborhood used to look like. i live about a .5 mile from the start of the fire so i drive through this area everyday and now the "emptiness" is normal. but i am soo grateful that my house was spared!
My families cabin is shown towards the middle (3:41) It's gone now, so this footage means a lot to me. We were up there when it started and were evacuated out probably 1/2 an hour before this vidio footage. I took maybe 3 minutes of my own footage, but it was too frightening to stay any longer so we got out of there pretty quick. LOVE the music, fits perfect. What a chaotic, scary, nightmare of a day. Crazy person to film this close! Must have been hotter than hell.
All members of the public, firefighters, and emergency personnel-The `establishment` has failed in their duty to tell you of this.. Google paddyanddollydotnet and read FIREBURN MEDIA ALERT, tell all your friends and,in case of severe fireburn keep that number in your back pocket 24 hours a day.
Tragically enough 2 of our staff members lost there houses and all life belongings they decided on the music. As for the running from the fire those two are journalists who were brave enough to get photos and document the fire. By the way all precedes from the video we shoot is going to the Red Cross, and we will match it. Maybe you should stop crying about something as small as the music and open you wallet and help the victims of this tragedy.
Great video. I like the music- it's dramatic, which is fitting for this disaster. It will be sad when we go there on July 11th for our wedding aniversary.
The opening scene is Lake Tahoe Blvd, right before the fire came through there. I know someone who lost a home in that area. Very sad that this area won't be the same once we are let back into the area. My family has had a vacation home in this area for 37 years. We lost 2 homes on our street.
thanks for great video i lived in south shore for 20 years and think of it as my home town.. lots family and friends still there and we are hoping everyone is safe
Wow. Thank YOU so much for this footage. Ever since camping in Truckee, California in 2003, I have bee somewhat fascinated by northern California, especially Truckee and Lake Tahoe. Thanks for this footage. So much better than boring old newscasters standing too far way. Great job!
