Hello again CL, this time i have 2 questions: 1) is an episode missing from the playlist, b/c this is episode 11, while on the playlist it's #10, and 2) one of the original categories were blatant DC/Superman references, and while it may be obscenely obvious for some, I rather enjoyed the category. If it isn't too much trouble, would you consider bringing back the category? Thanks again!
@choicedecision I'll check the playlist and see what's missing. Watch my most recent review-- I explain at the end why I'm not bringing back blatant DC references. Thanks for watching!
Another good episode, and I am glad you brought up my Geekvolution topic request by commenting on how this persuasion power is really hard to use "ethically". Is that still a "maybe in the future" general Geekvolution discussion? Not to bog this down with questions like that: I am more worried you covered it and I missed it. >_<
I really am enjoying this trip down memory lane. I loved Smallville the first few seasons, but eventually it got tiresome as it couldn't make up its mind what to be.
@LibertarianismLives That's a really good point. I absolutely looked over that and shouldn't have. It's easy to get complacent about Smallville's easy two minute wrap-ups, where we just get rid of the bad guy and it hardly matters how.
I love how deep and intellectual you get in all your reviews. It reminds me of the conversations that I have with my dad, we talk for hours about movies and tv shows.
@dmrain94 We have one-- doesn't show up on the channel because we have so many playlists, but just search for Counting Kryptofreaks and scroll to the bottom.
After watching your various Counting Kryptofreaks videos, you made me remember how much of an unlikable character Nell was in Season 1 of Smallville...LOL
@Geekvolution It's got Superpowers, an evil organization that employs some of the superhumans, and a guy/group who ends up saving the day, sorta. No costumes, no code names. It's more or less what would happen if Ocean's 11 and X-Men had a kid.
@stitch99 Yeah, I've thought about that, but haven't come up with a solution yet... of course, Smallville kept its title well beyond any of the characters spending very much time there, so maybe I can get away with it too!
I'm hoping to eventually do Aquaman on Rewind. Probably Birds of Prey as well.
I could never get into superman I see him as almost powerful to the point he's not even relatable, at least to me, if your a superman fan dont take offense.
@MikamiPro Recapping TV shows is a popular phenomenon on the internet. People like having conversations about TV shows and movies they watch, and this is sort of an extension of that. For me, it's entertaining to see someone give an analysis of show, especially when their opinions reflect my own, and often, they'll pick up on things I overlooked.
@rocketdave You're right, I watched it all the way through anyway, more to remind me of what I've seen and enjoyed nostalgia wise than a recap. But it serves it's purpose. I'm just bitter about Smallville coming to a close.
@tselk5 I hesitate to give a rating before putting an analysis together, so understand, these very well might change when I do Rewinds on them. Remember, this is completely out of any kind of context-- the number ratings are the *least* important part of my reviews, for me at least. But from my memories of the films from this summer:
@Geekvolution Interesting. I guess you and I might have some disagreement, because I would definately put X-Men: FC on the same level as Batman Begins and The Dark Knight as 4/4.
Anyway, thumbs up for Season 1 of Smallville being your favourite. I personally found Season 2 the best. :)

This was the second episode of Smallville I ever watched, and it maintained the good impression I got from Jitters.

I like the title: push. Back in Season 3 of X-Files, there was a character who could will people into doing things and it was titled: pusher.

I think you were very kind to this episode. I can't get around Kyle making Bob commit suicide and Clark's pretty much like, "Ok, that's cool."

Out of curiousity, will you keep the title Counting Kryptofreaks even when Kryptofreaks stop being a staple of the show?
Also, will there be an episode about the Aquaman pilot? I ask because I really enjoyed it and would like to know your opinion on it.

Although listening to it makes it hard to play Spiderman: Shattered Dimensions
Try it out if you haven't already.
No, I'm not a spam-bot. But really. It's pretty cool. This is sort of related to the video because he says spiderman once
S1deshowRobP5 6 months ago
I don't understand this. The people who love and have seen all of Smallville already know what's in this video, character dynamics, plot etc.
And if this is for people who haven't, then it's severely spoiler laden.
