At least they enjoy a freer market economy unlike USA whose biggest industries are government sponsored (insurance, financial institutions, auto companies, etc., and whose littlest industries are unfettered by regulations (note the shots of all street vendors: food, clothing, watches, etc.)

I live in SF, what a fishing village compared to Shanghai. In Shanghai, you can get better food (YES), better access to entertainment, and more culturally diversed people. I mean its not even a comparable. a city with 800k people vs a city with 18million... uh.. Last time the Tennis Masters Cup was held in SF? Formula one race car track? Hire someone to teach you how to paint, dance, speak japanese, play the cello.... cheaply?
