What foundational basis is there for dividing the word "merkabah" into prefix, inffix, and suffix to obtain a particular meaning for each syllable in the root word?

why do you people automatically consider it ascension when the spirit of GOD descended down onto christ and beings like them, religons teach to climb to go higher but what actually does that achieve there is a point to a moutain and few if any can remain there. The scriptures also say christ descended into hades what was the purpose of that? rythmically you need to ascend and descend.

@LemonOdette What I have come to about this is that it is done through meditation, visualization, and pranic breathing ("the holy breath" aka "pneuma"). It takes a little skill to master each of the parts and then combine them together. The Tibetan Buddhist parallel to this is Tumo Yoga which usually requires special initiation, but there are some books on this (THE BLISS OF INNER FIRE and THE SIX YOGAS OF NAROPA). Suggest a little time just mastering the gentle breathing first. Blessings.

Yes the Mercabah is your vehicle and it is also a creating tool. The Mercabah is one piece of the puzzle to physically time travel. The Mercabah I got to visualize 3 octahedrons spinning in side each other in opposite directions like a top. The outer one is gold, at 12. The second octahedron as aqua marine mother of pearl at 21. The third octahedron is violet at 33. The octahedrons are spinning so fast that it looks like a ball of golden light. Visualize 10 min. Let run all day:)o*o

while i respect the message, there are too many answers without showing the work. While it's good and all to say what the merkaba is, how many people know how to actually use it, or achieve it? Knowledge is nothing without application.

That star is NOT star of David ie magen David it was never called that until about 40-50 years ago. It is Solomon's seal and Kabbalistic go get an old webster's dictionary before the 1960's and lookup Solomon's seal you will see "magen david". Solomon's Seal is also the star of Saturn.(see Book of Amos in Bible).
