I tend to see this movie as the more "for kids" counterpart to Prince of Egypt. Here, they tell you the wisdom directly in song, and the story takes a back seat. In PoE, the opposite is true, and you have to dig below the surface in order to learn anything from it. For example, I would use KoD when teaching Sunday school, while I would watch PoE with my bible study group.

Me too! I just think it was a little weak in comparisson to Prince of Egypt - but that's probably because Dreamworks made POE so epic, they had trouble doing it with Joseph!

@MultiBelle22 That's true. But all in all it was still a good movie. Now like you said POE was epic. Epicness like that only comes around every once in a while. :)

@MsToughcookies Makes me think of lion king 1 and 2 for myself personally. The songs I preferred in this movie and Lion King 2 but the plot was better executed in the POE and Lion King. Jus my opinion of course.

@MultiBelle22 it does help that exodus is a more interesting story compared to josephs (God smacking down the greatest human kingdom on earth at the time vs. some caananite becoming vizier of a prosperous Egypt cause he read some dreams)
