@ChannelTofu That's a complicated question for a lot of people. It's polite to accept a person as their identified gender, but she's a biological male, which is what you want to know. Male-to-female reassignment is famously common in Thailand and neighbouring countries.

The reason he beat her is because he wanted his son to be soldier like him. He already had 2 daughters. But after Bell proved herself in many ways including pay for one of her sister's college tuition, their relationship improved and now Bell and her father are better. She's an awesome person. :D
