  • there is no bucking there its just a horse cantering off his forehand with someone bouncing around on his back which will hurt him, maybe some work with no stirrups first to help your balance and improve your seat before riding bareback?

  • That horse isnt bucking its just cantering on its forehand ... The horses head looks pretty but not the rest...

  • soo where is the bucking

  • Ride a buck isnt riding when a horse is bucking its when a buck ( dollar or five dollars) is under your thigh and who ever keeps it longest gets all the money in the class I lOVE this class

  • no offence , but thats not bucking , just bad riding , or maybe a really uncomphy horse , but no bucking

  • so thats how you do rie a buck? its bareback? what esle do you do/

  • Why must all of the world's negative nellies gather on youtube. (:

  • lol i seriously would like to see half the negative commenters on youtubes horses ( nice for a laugh) she rides perfectly fine and her horse is in magnificent condition

  • The horse should have bucked... get a saddle fatty before you break the poor baby's back :(

  • @HunterAndDrew My niece is a big girl and she rides horses bareback absolutely fine, you don't have to be a stick to ride a horse.

  • @tala10005

Did i say you needed to be a stick?

    no. i didnt think so.

But horrible riding combined with a large woman on a horse too small, is not a good combination.

  • its called a bareback dollar class and you have to canter and trot and sometimes gallop in the show class.

  • Wow that lady was gripping alot no wonder the horses was doing that lol

  • Maybe practicing bareback with walk and trot for a while will help. I know bareback isnt easy, but that is clearly really uncomfortable for the horse. Probably why his canter isnt as smooth either.

  • ride a buck is a game...she wasnt sayin she was riding a literal buck. though you should practice your bareback ridin

  • That women is to fat to ride that little pony i mean bounceing on top while the horse struggles to stay alive!

  • @Horsegirly1765 you r so cruel she is not fat and plus horses can carry up to 400 lbs so dont be rude

  • haha cute horse :))

  • OMG people!!! its a buck like a dollar bill!!! not a bucking bronco!!! Beautiful horse though!

  • BUCK = Dollar bill.

I was there at that show. For one thing, this lady is not fat, it was cold and everyone was bundled up in jackets. This horse is a very sucessful Morgan Western Pleasure horse that her daughter shows.

She entered the fun class "Ride a Buck" where everyone rides bareback with a dollar or "buck" under their knee. The last rider with their dollar wins all of the dollars. The horse just started crowhopping at the canter.

  • wow, dont look like hard bucking?, looks like cantering?

  • i cant believe you thought you would win, bouncing around like that of course the dollar is going to fly out from under your ass.

  • Hahaha this is great! he looks like my horse hahaha... except my horse is a complete butt head at shows. P.S. My horse IS a morgan. lol. Were regional champs together!!!! (In walk trot) But then when 13 and under came he was a butt!!!! Well for the first show at the western new york show we won the championship. then at goldcup and after that he then started his crap.

  • no there is no bucking just the lady was flopping around cuz shes bigger than the horse

  • its not bucking. its probably a dollar under your ass class.

  • poor horse... "look at that tush action" yeah thats what happens when you sit on its neck : )

  • All I have to say is lol

  • I did not really see any bucking either the lady was just not sitting on her butt so she was flying up and down.

  • he/she isnt bucking, they cant canter with you sitting on their neck hense its going wierdly!

  • poor horse.

  • For those of you don't know, which seems to be about all of you. "Sit a Buck" is a class where you put a 1 dollar bill "A buck" under your butt bareback, and ride around with it, until it falls out. Usually, the last one who still has their buck, gets all the money.

  • It isn't bucking... maybe slight pigrooting from excitedness...

  • That rider is stuff and bouncy, I don't know what's supposed to be good about this video. :/

  • where was the bucks? your too heavy for you horse especially if your as tense as that, you need to go with the movement not fight it (hence the bouncing painfully on his back)

  • Really really bad rider and that doesn't even count as a buck, although the horse should have gone rodeo on her.

  • she sucks, shes slaming onto his back no wander his doing a little bounce maybe she should think about getting the chiro out.

  • Could someone explain the point of this class to me?

The horse didnt seem to be 'bucking' as such, just a slightly agitated canter, with a very bouncy, stiff rider...?

  • Everone puts a dollar under their thigh and the announcer calls out the gaits to be performed. The last one who still has the dollar under their leg ussually takes home all of the money.

    Hope that helps. :)

  • Oh, it does help :)

But is that their own horse, or is it just a random horse?

Is the horse meant to be bucking, or is it just misbehaving? :) Thanks

  • @coolcat4215 It's their own horse. The horse in NOT suppossed to be misbehaving. It is suppossed to be like a 'pleasure' class but you don't get judged. I just don't think that rider knows how to sit a canter bareback. No problem. :)

  • @coolcat4215 "Sit a Buck" is a class where you put a 1 dollar bill "A buck" under your butt bareback, and ride around with it, until it falls out. Usually, the last one who still has their buck, gets all the money.

  • That is sooo cruel to make that animal do that!

  • you just can't sit on a horse like you should that poor animal bouncing on the horse 's back like that

sit on your sitbones woman you know those two bones in your ass

  • @iederene i agree with you too

  • @iederene I almost agreed until you said sitbones. What exactly are sitbones.

  • man love that thrust action ahhahahaha yew!!!!!!

  • Pretty pony lol YOur horse is sooo cute-luv doeing those classes

  • hij heeft niet eens gebokt. :S

  • @xlieeenn

ride a buck is een klasse van paardrijden.

  • Oh it is a Morgan!! How cool! We need more of these classes!!

  • omg i love this class haha i all ways put my money to far back on my but and when we start to canter it all ways fly's off!

  • that wasnt really bucking lol

  • hey its ride a buck as in money cash $ get it ride a buck

  • thats awesome

  • What stunning movement- big too! Love Morgans and they're movement+ Ride a $BUCK$ class is so much fun! ^^

  • umm weres the bucks?

    all i see is cantering!

  • Ride a buck. as in, money.

  • cute. The ride a buck classes at the morgan shows are one of the best classes

  • Beautiful morgan. He appears to be reaching under himself with his hind legs, so when he pushes off all that power has to go somewhere. :) Good job staying on...do you ride bareback often?

  • quite the opposite. if the horse had more reach with his hind end his butt would not be so bouncy. the reason he was boucing in the hind end is because the rider's legs are squeezing him so hard.

  • looks like its riding on the forehand a bit...

  • Oh my gosh you guys, it's ride a $BUCK$, as in dollar! She never said he was bucking! It's a class at some shows where you have to sit on a buck (dollar!) bareback, and try to keep it under your butt. The horse just has a very...animated canter, lol. Great riding, I could never sit that! hahaha

  • I didn't see any bucking. Just cantering.

  • ha ha that pretty weak...

  • I didnt see any bucking...just bad riding

  • Yes, where is bucking? Pff

  • @MangoRoX87 i totally agree

  • @MangoRoX87 its a game where you hold money between your leg and the horse and the last one that didnt drop it wins everyones money

  • @MangoRoX87 ride a buck isn't when you ride a bucking horse, you put a dollar bill under your leg while riding bareback and see how long you can keep it there :)

  • @MangoRoX87 You tuck like 5 dollars between your knee and the horse... Its not bucking but whoever keeps there money there wins all that everybody else droppedd

  • the horses canter is really rocking horsey because it is using its front end to drag itself around..you should encourage him/her to use his hid end more...it must be really hard to sit to

  • ahhh don't listen to them. you did a good job staying on.

  • maybe good job but not riding:)

  • bareback should just be natural. I barely use my legs when I ride bareback, but that comes from a lot of years of riding and core strength. don't worry about your riding! I think given the propulsion, you did as well as you could. My only suggestion is that if you practice riding it again, do it with a snaffle bit. That way if you need your hands for balance, you aren't putting too much pressure on your horses mouth.

  • I have a Morgan too =) There awesome

  • i think she is a little to far forward but good job you did good riding the horse bareback with dollars in her knees and that is why she is gripping with her lower legs dont listen to people who criticize you

  • the reason shes riding like that is cos shes got two dollar bills under her knees

    =P

  • dont put down all english riders... some of us are rly nice nd down to earth... but there is the to good for there hroses type of english riders who dont give a damn...

  • She's not too big for that horse. Granted she needs to learn to ride without gripping with her lower legs, and needs to learn to balance and sit without bouncing all over the place. That horse also looks like it has a rough canter to sit to, not easy in a saddle, not to mention bareback.

  • dont squeeze with ur legs to keep ur self on! do it with ur knees! and HEELSDOWN!!

  • NEVER PINCH YOUR KNEES! i have and i have landed in the dirt for it. you cant balance yourself on your knees, therefore you cant balance your horse and it all goes down hill from there. but pretty good riding. and take it easy with the comments, bareback is tougher than it looks.

  • well i was told to do that from my riding teacher! no way bareback is so easy! i do it more than i do in the saddle

  • yeah bareback cn b easy it matters on what kind of hrose u are on

  • Ya'll need to hush. It doesn't matter how big you are - you can still ride. Just because ya'll are skinny little english riders doesn't mean you have any right to go around putting other people down.

  • WHAT! I'm an english rider! Please don't say that! it hurts people's feelings!

  • @TAYLORSANTOSUOSSO

I'm an all around rider, so I ride english too. I just happen to know far too many english riders who make fun of me because I'm too big to jump.

  • What?! Don't listen to them.

  • CAN'T believe you didnt win? honey your going to break the horse in half...get a shire...please -.-

  • poor horse

  • for real! that fat ass is giving some back dammage for sure -.-

  • acutally you want to pinch with your knees...holds you in, and keeps your feet from moving. clearly this horse has a very rough canter/lope (no idea if she is english or western). she was just holding on.

  • never heard of a class like this before, but all i have to say is, i'd buck as well...

  • She pinches with her knees eww

  • she is holding a dollar between her knees and the horse. hence the "ride a buck" they have these classes at many local shows, everyone in my area....

  • Yeah but she is pinching with her knees for balance. You can keep your dollar under your leg without doing that. It throws you forward and you'd probably be more likely to lose the dollar (and your seat) that way.

  • What I see isn't so much a knee pinch as knees drawn up a bit. Then her lower leg swings back and forth letting her heel hit the horse. To me, it looks like the horse is responding to those inadvertent heel nudges. Anyone else notice that the "bucks" are in rhythm with the nudges?

  • where we are from its called a fanny race... soo im sorry... it's not the same in every state...

  • STUPID BITCH

  • Lol you guys are dumb... the horse didnt buck! its a fun class where they stick a dollar between you and your horse and it has to stay there.... Im suprised people with horses dont know what that is!

  • Not really a buck...you should see the ones my horse does :P

  • WTH it was ur fault U should Never squeeze In on a horse Unless U want to go faster Dont Grip Bare Back!

  • haha these classes are sooo much fun!!!

  • that deff does not look like a buck my horse does that all the time its just a really rough canter that looks somewhat like a lazy I mean really lazy buck!

  • It's not a "bucking class" it's called ride a buck as in dollar

  • I have never seen a canter like that in my life! it looks like he's bucking the entire time. lols it would be so fun to put someone who says "riding's not a sport" or "it's so easy to ride; anyone could do it" on that horse, and make them canter!! muahahahaaaa

  • i dont think im ever gonna wanna canter bareback again

  • wow his canter looks rough!

  • 0:38

    there goes the dollar! XD

  • for all you people having a cow, this lady is an amazing rider, i know her and her daughters personally, thats her daughters horse, hes 14.2h and shes around 5'10 so give her a break on the being too big. and his canter is horrribly rough, ive ridden him myself. i can garuntee you she could out- ride all of you any day

  • its where u ride a horse without stirrups sometimes a saddle also! and with a dollor under ur thigh.

  • isnt that that game where u put a dollar under ur leg and see how long it can stay? haha i was planning on doin that today(:

  • ILoveMyHorseBanjo that was preety rude you shoul find out what ride a buck is b4 u get all upset about it :)

  • is it the horse's ass we are supposed to be looking at or yours slamming into its back?

  • that's rude... Lol

  • Well i dont see any bucking....

  • Ride a buck as in a dollar buck

  • thats like barely considered a buck . god sit back and keep ur heels down.

  • I Don't Think She's Saying That's A Buck.

    Hahah.

We Have A "Ride-A-Buck" At Sycamore Sometimes.

It's Where You Sit On A Dollar And Ride Bareback.

The Whole Point Is To See Who Can Keep There Dollar Under Them The Longest And Whoever Does Gets To Keep All The Money.

She Lost Her Dollar At What Looks Like :38 So That's Why At The End It Says She Didn't Win.

  • He ant bucking lol. He is cantering :)

  • dollar loss at 0:38

  • seriously? shut up

  • seriously? make me.

  • hij bokt niet eens dom wijf en je kan niet rijden :.

  • looks like there is something wrong with the horse

  • he's a gaited morgan lol

  • the horse seems a bit unhappy with his bit/the riders hands (0:34 and 0:50)?

  • lush horse!

  • that horse has a really awkward canter

  • cause it was doing this little bucking thing, but not really bucking....uhh...crow-hopping,

  • its dis-united.. i think thats the name 4 it or un-united or something the legs on eaach side r ment 2 move together like left side then right side but this horse obviously just got it wrong. it hapopens sometimes after a flying change when a horse dusnt sort its legs out right lol.. not particularly comfy bareback i can imagine!

  • Hey'a. From what I can see, the same legs are leading at the rear and the front so it is a normal canter. I just think the horse has a very rounded outline and is contemplating a buck or two...but never quite gets to it....lol.

  • no its late benhind its back legs r a bit behind time wich makes it look a bit wierd like its hopping instead of cantering

  • Hey'a Beth. I can't see that at all. The canter is lead from the rear, and if you look at the other horse in video (which you can see about one stride of canter) you can see they have a very similar rhythym. (did I spell that right? it looks weird...lol). Anyway, but when you compare outlines, you see the main horse is very much on his fore, with his head very low, yet the other horse is carrying himself correctly. I still reckon it's his outline. But hey, I guess it doesn't really matter.

  • it is spelled rhythm lmao i would only kno becaus emy music teach made us sing it over and over and over for 42 min

  • lol jumper.....well, I stand corrected on that. I knew it looked weird but couldn't be bothered checking.....I will never forget again now....lol.

  • no this horse isnt disunited! You can clearly see at 29secs onwards that its leading legs are in line! It seems like its young and is finding it difficult to sustain an even flowing canter!

  • haha that is just like my old pony as soon as i go into canter she just bucks all the way around the field haha that woman was pretty good!! my mum always rides wwith no saddle or hat lol

  • haha awesome riding not pretty but you got the job done and holy your horse has movement! Good job! I can't believe how many negative comments there are on this vid, seriously people can YOU ride a buck?

  • PEOPLE!!

if you didnt notice-this is the ride a buck class!!! the only reason she does not have her heels down and her leg where it should be is because there are two dollar bills she is trying to hold on to with her knees!! DUH!! so stop critisizing she probably loads better with a SADDLE!

  • Jesus , stay on his back!!! >:@

    je stuiterd VEELSTE ERG!

  • Shes a horrible bareback rider bahahahahahah !

  • if i were her i would wear a hat but thats just me and im not trying to be offencive

  • haha were dong this at my schioling show!!! im gonna enter it!! lol

  • lol i love this class!!!!

  • heels down and canter with your horse. don't just sit there bouncing.

  • omg your tooo big

  • ok why do people think that horses cant carry a lot of weight when they can. horses are very strong animals. stop treating horses like there little lap dogs or something. -.-

  • I know. You'be suprised at how m weight ponies can take nevermind horses. People can be so wussy about everything these days. Horses are hardly they'll survive.

  • Thats Not Bucking? That Horse Is Just Either Enjoying Cantering Or Has A Stiff Back Or Something like that :)

  • You have to have a dollar under you leg and if it falls off you out. The winner (the one who has their dollor still in the end) wins all the money.

  • AH! I wanna have a go!

  • it`s difficult to put your heals down if you`re a little to big for your pony especially bareback

  • thats really easy all you got to do is stay in your seat and keep your heals down
