    pun intended

  • I fucking love Jeff Tweedy.

  • @DanPF9 Wow, I was going to post that almost word for word.

    He is, the man.

  • @savantiflag Basically! One of my favorite all time musicians. Got such a bro-crush on him.

  • Note how the guitar is broken around 2:10 when the stunt opens the chute.

  • Tweedy is a genius..

  • this is 1996

  • Double ads? DOUBLE ADS?! it you tube trying to kill itself?

  • this video makes me happy

  • Had I seen this video when "Being There" was released, I might never dismissed Wilco as a bunch of dickheads. Warner Brothers Records could fuck up a trip to the john.

  • 15 people were never hugged by their mother

  • 15 people hate life.

  • Haha, love the song, and I get the video. But please never, never make a music-video again Jeff! :D

  • @zonyy I think they decided on that back in 1997. lol

  • People who don't like Wilco, are dead to me.

  • Jeff should be a Traveling Wilbury

  • Jeff should be a Traveling Wilburt

  • Tweety is a music genius!

  • This video just screams: "The 90's!"

  • his guitar broke @2:11

  • #OMG Chicken Flow - O Lendário Chucrobillyman

  • I do not like this video at all.

  • @quartercherries yeah i'm not too sure about this one... I really love Being There, but this video is a little.. how should I put this.. stupid? Then again i get the idea that Wilco doesn't take this video seriously.

  • @biffbiff123456 It's fun, it's not stupid in any way.

  • Most of my fondest memories are of growing up with the music of the 90's. I remember sitting by my stereo with a cassette in the tape deck ready to hit the record button whenever a song I liked came on the radio. This was one of those songs. That was the Napster of our day. Kids today just wouldn't understand, being able to get whatever they want, whenever they want. Maybe I'm just waxing nostalgic, but I totally miss the early to mid 90's. All around, it was just better times for everyone

  • @rm630610 Remember that well

  • Good God! They're so young.

  • @ 2:10 the guitar is broken!

  • This would be even better without the advertisement and the no-embedding rule.

  • VERY GOOD

  • 0:43 haha wtf he wasn't even hitting the cymbal.

  • 2005? Try 1996, Warner Bros.

  • Lais Back - Bakerman is a better video...

  • stunt doubles? who cares great video....great song

  • @eshanny511 Amen! The SONG does matter, right? This is a great one. For a brand NEW band with great songs- just back from UK - please see my new post of "Visions", by Blue Sky Diamonds-their upcoming 'single'

with an 'album' due this Summer ! I love those guys!!

  • Well shot. mix of open air and blue screen footage, I think the sky divers are actually professional stand in's dressed as the band for the free fall, close ups are blue screen.

The inside of the plane is a set, basically it would be too unsteady in the back os a plane even with steady cam and dangerious.. think about an instrument falling out the back of a plane. i doubt it for safty it would ever happen.

all in all a cool clip.

  • i love the guitar neck breaking when he pulls the shoot lol

  • That would scare me to death. How can people do that xD lol

  • A 2 minute & 39 second song has the coolest video I've ever seen.

  • 1998 trip across these united states. from manhattan beach so. cal. to NYC. driving thru texas ..wilco double album. and later back in calif..some guy in san francisco, at the jack keroauc bar vezuvios...says he's a big wilco fan!?? and so we drank and listen to wilco on th juke box. eveyone should.

  • @ 2:10 the guitar is broken... @ 2:20 is brand new again! XD

  • lolol @ 2:08 watch his guitar

  • jezus i thot the rave scene made the 90's bad, but christ the stiffeling sufficating overload of boybands that ALL SOUND THE SAME from the last three years is really putting the current generation to shame

  • @patrickinurface are you calln' wilco one of those????

  • First Time i have seen a Fender Esprit in a music video or during sky diving.

  • that 1 person who gave this video a thumbs down is on my *list*...

  • imagine getting killed by a bass falling from the sky... what a way to go.

  • Only 1 Being There song made into a music video. Sad. That album was their peak.

  • Heard this song on Psych. Fell in love :)

  • great album. it's too bad that warner bros. completely ignored the album, as evidenced by them posting the video in oct of 2009! only 12 years late, but thanks! with support like this, wilco will be HUGE. in 2020.

  • that's too cool.

  • I think it should be obvious that there were real skydving shots, but they were pro divers dressed as Wilco, with the close-up shots being bluescreen. You have to be a really experienced skydiver to do it with a board while holding a musical intrument.

  • @deniwilco THANKS FOR RUINING THE MAGIC BRO

  • Being There is a beautiful album, very romantic.

  • im not really a Wilco fan but i actually rlly dig this song, and the video was awesome

  • Also, in response to the comments below, I think it's very obvious that it is real. People have gotten married while sky diving before. Making a music video should not be that tough. You just bring along a few good cameramen.

  • That was a seriously sweet video. I am very happy I watched it.

  • I love it....

Looked like a lot of fun

  • I never knew any videos from 'Being There' were made.

    So cool!

  • I think parts of it are real.

  • this video made me lol so hard

  • I love this song and video. Haven't seen it for years. So happy to see it again.

  • YAAAAAAAAA ITS BACK!!! Love this song! WDOX WILDWOOD NJ!!! STILL MISS YOU !!!!!!

  • It's totally real, and totally embarrassing.

  • Essa musica me da uma felicidade instantanea fora do comum. me faz lembrar de anos nostalgicos por volta de 96e 97

  • Did Wilco actually Skydive? I've been trying to find the answer but for some reason nobody's talking about this video. It seems from a videography standpoint that it's not real, but I really want it to be

  • hell no they didn't skydive its very fake. Itd be cool if they really did tho.
