Love it,The whole point is,We (the brits) thought we were so damn clever, but if all the Indians thought the same way as Ranji,They were laughing up their sleeves at us all the time.I love Indian people, and their way of logic. My wife is asian and when we watch this she can,t believe how naive we British are(were) Thanks for uploading this.
Yes it was, on tv from 73ish til 1980. As a lifelong Dads Army fan I didnt think this quite as good but still essential viewing. I strongly suspect the theme idea was influenced by the real experiences of the Goons, Milligan & Secombe both Gunners in WW2, both joined the ENSA organisation to start them off in show business, like many other famous British comics of 50s Radio etc.
This daft 'looney left'/PC nonsense you're gushing about, hysterical right wing toss. Accusing someone of being too 'illiterate' to buy your cheap idiocy is typical of Daily Mailites like you. And have you ever watched recent British comedy like Psychoville? It's hardly 'PC', but hey, don't let reality get in the way of your delusional rants.
@martydee Well, the vast majority of British people regard PC as being anything but correct and we are sick of having its hypocrisy rammed down our throats, but obviously, you believe that minority marxist nutcases should dictate to the majority.
I depsise the Daily Mail, it is controlled by PC feminist freaks.
I don't watch TV anymore and have no need to. You are clearly brainwashed from ear to ear with it though. Get back to the Guardian because your addled brain is beyond recovery.
Erm...OK then. I was about to apologise or being a bit rude last night. Good thing I never bothered. You're clearly a complete basket case who needs pity rather than a slagging. Keep taking those pills, cunt. X
LOL MIchael Bates was born and brought up in India, he said that's how he managed to pay 'homage' to the people he grew up with, the snake belt was his idea too... He then went on to become a national treasure in 'Last of the Summer Wine', his character was called Blaymire (I think), just before Foggy joined... Classic actor and brilliant roles too...:0)x
hey you know the guy with red turban at the starting, didn't he act in Mind Your Language?

Imagine presenting the spec for this to the loony left BBC now. You'd be locked up for five years.
How has this country allowed itself to become so submissively subservient to the Politically Corrupt brigade?
