  • GOSTEI DO SOM DA PENÚLTIMA GUITARRA PRA MIM FOI A MELHOR. AS OUTRAS TEM MUITO MÉDIA E PRESENCE.

  • Strat: good for blues country and smooth clean rock. Tele: good for country. Les Paul good for hard rock and smooth rock. PRS: good for paperweight!!!!!!!!!

  • @clonetrooperbj You mean PRS: Good for everything ever.

  • all sounds the same

  • @jeffersondeleon1 where are your ears??

  • Fender for blues and country (Jimmy Clapton). Gibson for a bad ass sounding dirty rock (Skynyrd, led zep) Anything else no thanks...

  • These guitar vs guitar vids are interesting, but really not conclusive. It all depends on the voicing and effects desired. I've heard David Gilmore use both a strat and a LP on Comfortably Numb and Shine on you crazy Diamond, and the strat sounds far better and more versatile for the sound he's aiming to achieve. Just one example...

  • Great like for like post.

    *Check my Tele demo.

  • I like the way you do your comparisons, but as a relative novice to electrics, I wish that comparisons like this showed the headstock better, at least at at the beginning, so it's easier to tell which is which, especially when the bodies are similar in style.

    Thanks

  • The telecaster sounded clearly the best.

  • I'd love to have the [in order]

    Les Paul

    PRS

    Telecaster

    Stratocaster

    just me

  • LP sounds best overdriven maybe?

  • OMG, i was just at my friends place, and he had an Ibanez guitar.

I couldnt play it at all! it doesnt feel like a Les Paul.!!!

    god bless that guitar!

  • hey, if you're still an amateur why all those guitars! LMAAAO

I have the same problem, amateur and 3 guitars, but hold up, all my gtrs are cheap LOL, and my strat is fucked up, reeeaaally fucked up, it doesn't even get a sound, i messed wrong with the electronics :P[no problem, it was crappy]

  • My vote is the STRAT!!! Eric Johnson, Hendrix, Clapton, Jeff Beck, etc etc... LP sound is ok but, not balanced feel when U gotta stand with a strap on for a long time. But then again, I want them all ! LOL!!

  • you used an LP against an PRS SE custom. PRS SE range is cheap as chips, throw an actually PRS custom 22 in there and it will blow them all out of the water

  • @1ev01 nah i have over 30 PRS guitars, and hey are total shit

worst guitars ive ever seen or heard

many of them fall apart after a few weeks

  • @mikesomething

then why do u have over 30?

  • all guitars win , but i like telecaster.

  • Man, this is just your amateur hobby, but you already have all those badass guitars?? Then i wish to be as amateur as you:D

  • I think you played the strats and the tele too much and you didn't play the prs and lp enough for me to compare plus your playing with distortion so they all sounds almost the same. I like the video though!

  • telecaster win

  • Gosh i want all of them. But the les paul, man that thing has sound.

  • LP WINS!!!

  • is the fender good for scorpions style?

  • @MrRichard911 yes very ! I played a concert and did rock you like a hurricain and it was amazing !

  • @pugNdrum great!!! hope you had fun ;)

  • I liked the PRS best actually; clean and very powerful sound came out of it

    All guitars were awesome though

  • I think I like the PRS best in this video.

  • Tele!!!! :)

  • the LP and the Tele were the best

  • Strat Deluxe sounds best to me

  • It's hard to tell the difference if you play the same thing with the same settings on different guitars. The Tele twang didn't come through at all, and the ripping fat LP blues didn't come through. Thanks for the effort though.

  • gibson all the way

  • these arent fair comparisons since he isnt playing the same riff on all of the guitars

  • fender has nothing to prove.obviosly pms does...

  • i like the les paul and the tele but its gibson all the way

  • I want them all!

  • @sonicboom1970 thats why I did the video - why not have them all. Very few people get that. Thanx.

  • @metebelis haha ik i dont have the prs but i make up for it with my other guitars ^_^ 8 currently

  • @sonicboom1970 what amp are you playing thru?...they all sound kinda' the same...no bottom end

  • les paul all the way!

    strat sucks

  • PRS SE sucks :\

  • telecaster best

  • That tele kicked ass!

  • les paul.

  • lp the best

  • tele sounds nice

  • tele!!!!!

  • I find it funny that all the guitars here other than the PRS are well over $1000, where the PRS is around $400-$500. It still held up though. Imagine if he had used a PRS CU24.

  • I now have a PRS CE22 - which you can see in my other videos. Eventually I will update this video and include the new PRS.

  • @metebelis I actually like the sound of your PRS the most. The hot sound just sounds sweet on that thing.

  • I would say the Tele probably sounded the best, esp. with this style of playing, to my ears anyway.

  • OMG i cant believe TELE sounded kinda better than strat O_O

  • all guitars here cost two or three times as much as PRS Custom SE...which held up

  • is that a joke?

  • i like the prs best...stronger pickups---> kinda rocking sound in difference to the singlecoil guitars! and i am not a fan of gibsons....in the end you never know what quality you get and for my taste it sounded a bit too trebly!

  • Comparing a Les Paul and a Tele is like apples and oranges. All of these guitars sounded pretty great, but I've always been a strat guy. I like the first strat, then the tele

  • depends what music i mean a tele is better for the faster paced bluesy stuff because of its sharper tone whereas the strat is more suited to the slower more melodic blues with more fepth and feeling. and a les paul is for really deep stuff with those hummers on it.

  • the tele hands down!!!

  • im a fender person myself, the gibson still sounded good though...

in my opinion the better of the fenders in this case would have to be the telecaster

  • all of them except for the les paul

  • I think the tele sounded better than the PRS. The les paul was by far the best.

  • les paul, prs, 1st strat - all good though

  • Some lovely guitars and some good playing. But i wouldn't be able to choose between them, i would happily own any.

  • Not a fair comparison, the 52 Tele should have been used, and the Les Paul Standard w/ stock burstbucker PUP'S. I don't know about the Strats so can't say. But in the end there is no winner. They are all great G's that fill diferen't needs.

  • PRS rullez

  • lespaul and prs

  • Well, the PRS has got the crunchiest tone of all of them. So I would judge the PRS as the best. However, I am owner of a LP, must say that till I save some money on a new PRS, Epi LP is the best choice I could have made.

  • les paul, 1st strat, PRS, tele, then the 2nd strat

  • prs all the way for tone but waaay to over priced...

  • he's playing an SE Custom which is only 495?

  • tele all the way

im saving for the american standered

    1200

  • i had my doubts but now i know les paul is the best guitar ever. In this vid: followed by the tele, the strat and then the PRS

  • strat, prs, and les paul sounded best, but the les paul sounds much heavier than all of them

  • I like the PRS and the Les Paul then the Strat and the HSS strat sounded TERRIBLE(no offence to the other)

  • *author

  • strat and les paul are the best

  • I honestly think the fender strat sounded best.. But set up also plays a factor.. I personally am a fender man but when i hear a gibson les paul i feel that they have a heavier thicker sound. But the sound here was a little different..

  • too bad the prs is a se and all the others are us made

  • the strato and the lp are the best sounds i ever heard, but the tele is not bad, i lke all ¡¡¡

  • no matter what... when somebody plays a LP it gives them a steal pair of balls :)

  • yer but you cant get to the high notes like you can on a strat.

  • @youaergay

True.. And you can't beat that original Fender Strat Sound ;)

  • @pacrat90 aint that just the truth

  • @pacrat90 Not always the case [coughkevincoughjonascoughcoughCOUGH]

  • @pacrat90 u spelled steel wrong

  • For an amateur (like me), you have nice intonation and feel.

The Tele sounds sweet. And the LP has a nice bite. The others sound great, but those two are my faves. Yer givin' me bad G.A.S., dude! :-)

  • i have all of these, they are all amazing,

personally i like the PRS and the Strat.

  • David Gilmore uses a strat.

  • PRS!!

  • Page used a Telecaster on Yardbirds and he plays perfect

  • he only used a tele cause he couldn't afford a les paul

  • he could Eric Clapton was played with Les Paul and Jeff Beck too

  • then why do you think in pretty much all of his live performances he used a 1959 gibson les paul?

  • on Yardbirds use Les Paul???men you don't hear rock only clapton used Les Paul on Yardbirds idiot

  • i'm not talking about clapton i'm talking about page

  • Comment removed

  • where did I say the tele was bad? i like the tele in fact i was just playing one a couple minutes ago. It's just a 1959 les paul is considered the holy grail of guitars and that's what he played on most his live performances and later albums.

  • This test makes no sense cuz its

    a) all complete different guitars

    b) not in the same price range

  • it wasnt even a real prs it was a crap se

  • SEs aren't crap. i've owned an SE before and i can tell u it made even a cheap amp sound sweet in any setting. of course u cant compare the SE to a CE but they are still quality instruments with way better qc than gibson's china factory

  • Can someone tell me what is the best for playing led zep, gnr, and acdc. A tele, les paul or sg

  • i would say a Les Paul

  • i would say les paul because jimmy page and slash both play them. you dont rly want the tele for gnr or acdc because the single coil pickups wnt get you the tone that yer looking for. humbuckers are the way to go. i prefer the les paul to the sg but they are both rly good guitars.

  • jimmy page used a tele!, single coils are the way to go!, plus u can have humbuckers on most fenders anyway

  • page only used a tele on zeppelin I and on the stairway solo. for everything else he used a les paul and angus young and slash always played gibsons. i would always pick a gibson over a fender.

  • thats your opinion, doesn't mean its right?, i personally, much prefer fender guitars, new gibsons are rubbish, and i hate slash, his playing's okay, but guns and roses suck balls!

  • amen man gnr are fucking shite. but if you want to play led zeppelin, acdc and gnr the best guitar to buy would be a gibson because thats wut all of them played. even tho page played a tele for a few years. and i have a newer gibson. the custom shop 1958 reissue and it is far from rubbish

  • yeh, if you wanna sound exactly like led zeppelin, then buy a les paul, but why would you? its about playing what suits you, everything sounds just as good when played on a decent strat. theres no point buying a guitar just cos jimmy page plays it.

gibson lp customs are 100000x better than the standard, u gotta admit the modern lp and sg standards kinda suck....

  • page used a tele every studio recording he did. he only used the les pauls during concerts

  • thats not true at all... he used les pauls on the recordings for every album except led zeppelin I.

  • he used a tele on most of the led zep recordings, he did on the stairwas solo too.

  • I think the test would be most accurate without any distortion, otherwise no one can tell.

  • @Johngtr13 I agree. These examples, as fun as the playing is, don't really exploit any legitimate differences in the guitars. I'd like to see a test of these five guitars that involves tone and pickup settings.

  • do your lucky to have all those guitars

  • everything was good exept the prs it gave me a headache... im gonna go take some tylenol

  • Different tools for different tones.

    Different tastes.

And different touch. I know some guys who love the sound of a Les Paul but when they pick one up somethings just not right to them for some reason.

    Others can play ANYTHING.

    Guitars,I love em' all!

  • the best guitar are the bmw

  • Winner is the Les Paul hands down.

  • that's a sweet Tele....love it. Sound and looks!

    Which one do you prefer?

  • you've got a nice collection there!

    good playing

  • Best guitars are harley benton!!!!!!!!!

  • there missed a SG!!!

  • your teles the only one that works with that setting, and i usually ont dig teles

  • tele all the way

  • I own a LP but id like a nice american cream finish strat with a Floyd Rose Tremolo ;P

  • 1. tele

    2. prs

    3. strat

    4. LP

  • Tele>Les Paul>Strat>PRS IMO

  • fender tele or epiphone lespaul?

  • The Strat will always win in this battle royale!

  • I'm a les paul fan but I'm really liking the sound of the tele.

  • my opinion:

    1.tele

    2.lp

    3.strat

    4.prs

    not a fan of prs'

  • 1. les paul

    2. strat a

    3.tele

    4. start b

    5. prs

  • 1: Les Paul

    2: A Strat

    3: Tele

    4: D Strat

    5: PRS

    same as morg405

U know, i dont see much in PRS... I think it is

too expensive for a lifeless sound...

But again, thats my opinion... There is no warm or heavy sound for PRS. Its all the same... I dont know why. Sorry PRS Idols...

  • 1: telecaster

    2: PRS

    3: strat

    4: les paul

im on my 2nd les paul too...so this obvs says something

  • STRAT

    prs

    lespaul

    tele

  • fender tele of epiphone LP?

  • my opiniom:

    1.Strat

    2.Tele

    3.Les Paul

    4.PRS

  • The tele pulls of this type of music the best, hands down. Its got that blues.

  • I have to agree with Edgarsterling I to am a tele guy . the les paul is the better sounding of all the clips presented. but also it is all preferance. thanks for the vid.

  • 1)LP

    2)A STRAT

    3)TELE

    4)D STRAT

    5)PRS

  • I want them all, but if I could only choose one, it would be PRS

  • Tele 'n LP sounds great !!

  • The American Deluxe and then the Prs. Only cause I thought the PRS was sounded much louder then the rest.

  • strat

  • I'm a 100% PRS fan...but as far as this video goes the Tele sounds GREAT. I own a Gibson Les Paul Studio, PRS McCarty Soapbar, PRS Tremonti Signature, and a few others and it's honestly hard to compare all of them because they all have they're own distinct characteristics. Overall however PRS takes the cake for tone, craftsmanship and versatility. GO PRS!!

  • Les Paul & PRS are the standard loud Humbuckers, my favorite is the 3th Strat that sonds good. Tele is better for clean stuff i think. I want some Hss Strat i love this tone. actually i play Ibanez and SG.

  • I'm I Tele guy, but I think your playing the Les Paul sounded the most inspired... that clip sounded best to my ears. Nice looking instrument too.

  • weirdest right hand ever lol good playing though and tele and lp for sure

  • up the les pauls

  • PRS ROX!!!

  • i think it's the TELE and the LES PAUL, that sounds the best

  • each from those guitars has their own style, their does and dont's. wish you would all know these guitars are all made for their own style. but thats nots the question. Give me the strat and tele: i love them, after that my SG, ES339 and Martin Dx1 :)

  • tele is greatest

  • I was going to say I thought the Strat suited your playing the best but then I heard you on the Les Paul. That suits you even more.

  • Les Paul Rocks!!

  • strat and tele, seen as ive got both lol

  • You should rename this video "A bunch of great guitars VS. a sub par amp. I would love to see you do this again on something that isn't a solid state. Full tube with Pre to 10, volume to 7 and everything else at 12 o'clock.

  • Les Paul

  • strato

  • Les Paul

  • tele

  • strat over PRS and over tele and over les paul on this type of music

  • well iv got the les paul, im getting a strat, but i want to no wich to get a tele or a prs and by the sounds of that and what i like playing the tele is winning. (and there cheeper).

  • That my good man depends on your taste. True Tele tone comes from a well made Telecaster no doubt but as far as versatility goes I would end up going with the 24 from PRS. Both are amazing guitars and honestly you can pull off some good tele tones from the PRS. The full tele can only be experienced through a Fender Telecaster or a G N L Asat Tele.

  • Strat sounds the best...

  • Hey dude great playing but sound quality made it so i really cudnt tell the full tones of each guitar, if you post anymore videos like this please let me know. My only other problem is, are you using the bridge pickup for each? and these are all really different guitars, u shud use the standard for each company, fend american strat, gibson les paul studio, and still the SE custom, but i really like your playing and im thinking of gettin a strat and your playing has proved strats rule!

    ROCK ON!!

  • I like gibson for the "toggle swith" that allows quick switching between volume controls- but I think the Strat has a really nice sound as well... I'm gonna go with Strat, however

  • All the guitars on this video sound thin and too bright. Cameras are not for recording audio!

  • You are right - I bought the good guitars before I bought the good amps and effects. This is now rectified. Check out my more recent vids.

  • Gota go with the Tele on this one...just can't beat it for this kind of playing. It definately has a "southern" accent, and I think that comes off good on blues type music.

  • I use to play strat only but then loved the tele for it's chimier tone(not a real word but can't explain). then I fell in love with an LP cause of it's brighter tone! LP LP LP!

  • I love the way that Tele sounds. After that the HSS Strat, then the LP then the Strat, then the PRS.

  • i luv the strat it's just so playable and feels good on you. lp's are awesome to but i would rather perform with the strat

  • That LP sounded really Gnarly.

Awesome, Love the LP and the Tele; Warm and crunchy tone! <3

  • Telecaster RUUUUUUUUUUULA S***

  • 2:42. my favorite guitar in the world.... i have three les pauls... they are like my daughters... jeje just kidding

  • PRS by far!
