I bought so many MMO's that failed because the WoW nerds bought the game. They cried that it was a copy, bitched about every error then the company went belly up afterwards. I was just there for the ride Warhammer was insane with drama but taking forts with heaps of guild people was fun. Star Wars has finally come out its quite obvious Bioware has taken notice of Guild Wars story driven success and WoW game structure. They blended them together and created a glorious game.

I have played Guild Wars, thinking it would have some good quests and what not and people said it was a WoW-killer, so that made me buy it and completely regretted buying it. Quests were boring, the characters don't look interesting and the level cap is 20(wtf?)

I thought MMORPG was not for me. And then started playing WoW, and have to say, I can say WoW is my game.

The difference is that ArenaNet really cares about their game. At leadst they make it seem like they do. That's very good.

With WoW i quickly became bored. I'm not a strictly PvE kind-of-guy, so I got bored to death.

And World of Warcraft hands down, got one of the least structured and rewarding PvP mechanics ever. It's a waste of time.

GW, on the other hand, got one of the most competitive, balanced, cooperative and rewarding PvPs out there, in addition to a dedicated dev team balacing it.

Ok I've played Guild Wars for 3 and a half years and I can say it really isn't such a great game in my opinion, it's an ok game.It's fun in the beinning. It's F2P which is the reason I play it, I like not having to play all the time just because I've payed for a month. I'm 100% sure I'd think WoW was the better game if I tried it. I do think though that Guild Wars 2 will be so different and will be a ton of fun.

idk how to really explain this.. Out of these 2, the first game i played was Guild Wars. It was fun at the time, and then I tried WoW. I've never had as much fun playing a game as when I played WoW. Though WoW was more fun, I always felt that Guild Wars was obviously more balanced and that the developers actually spent a lot of time on their game. (not sure how to explain) For these reasons, the upcoming Guild Wars 2 will surely be the game of the century. No need to compare to WoW. no challenge
