Gitarrero, it's not the sound, he's just not very good, but it is understandable because it is a very difficult solo but the intro is no excuse for sloppiness. Were you fucking high during the first 30 seconds and then it wore off or something or are you just deaf?

the rhythm stuff is pretty good (although the main verse riff sounds a bit wrong), you've got a fast picking hand... but the soloing really needs some work. Basically John just uses harmonic minor scales in all his solos so just learn that scale so you can go up and down the strings rather than messing around sliding up and down strings... hope that helps. also he taps some of the notes at the end of the solo
