This round wasnt close, Arona dominates ground position and Fedor was never close to those subs. The only good stand up was Aronas leg kick which was awesome.

This round was close. Fedor chokes Arona then vice versa. Fedor stuffed the takedowns and tried to pull guard twice ending up with Arona in chokes. Arona had the mount but did nothing with it. Fedor lands a big punch at the end. Big fat draw.

Taking into consideration this was fedor's 3rd pro MMA fight...then it is not that much of a bomb that he had some trouble against arona. Fedor has gotten better with every fight he has had. Fedor vs. Arona in present time would be declared as an execution of Arona's sorry ass.

This round wasnt close, Arona dominates ground position and Fedor was never close to those subs. The only good stand up was Aronas leg kick which was awesome.

This round was close. Fedor chokes Arona then vice versa. Fedor stuffed the takedowns and tried to pull guard twice ending up with Arona in chokes. Arona had the mount but did nothing with it. Fedor lands a big punch at the end. Big fat draw.

Well I clearly saw Arona win. Maybe because I rewatched it and the judges didn't have the luxury of doing so. But I think if they were to rewatch right now they would agree that a 3rd round wasn't even neccessary.

He didn't get any takedowns. Pulling gaurd for a choke is a takedown that Fedor used twice.

Rings had the same scoring system as pride at the time. The only real diff is that they didnt have a purse take out for "no action". If this were in pride arona would of had to pay Rings due to his lay and pray performance. Clear win for Fedor, the one that actually attempted to fight.

Clear victory for Fedor, any person who knows about mma knows this, being on the bottom doesnt mean u are loosing, arona did NOTHING to fedor while on top, by the other hand Fedor totally dominated the stand up, reversed arona several times, and got the submision attempts.

well if u new as much about jiujitsu as u r trying to say u no about mma, u dont have to be throwing punches to be winning. ricardo was going for submissions constantly while on the ground, figure fours, chokes, fedor just kept trying to avoid them.
also, yes fedor would dominate in standup, but did u notice ricardo had the fight on the ground 80% of the time? he kept it in his element the whole fight, even after being stood up by ref.

well i already give my opinion about the fight and its obvious for me and most mma fans that fedor won this one, if u disagree its fine.
fedor reversed arona everytime, won the standup, got the submisson attempts, even at the end of the 3rd round fedor already had the guillotine choke but the fight ended right there. Fedor won without using his best weapon, the ground n pound.
Fedor won fairly, he got his hand raised at the end.... oh and he is still undefeated :D
