If I were Tori Amos, I'd ask that all my concert tickets clearly display a polite request that "Audience members refrain from screeching and screaming and fucking up my songs. Thank you"
@JulielovesTandS - You're about a decade too late. She was at her greatest in the 90's. I saw her a couple of years ago, felt the same way you did, and was seriously disappointed. All attitude, very little emotion, seemed like she was just on autopilot. No real interaction with the audience. On the way out of the theater, everyone around me was saying the same thing - what a disappointment, we want our money back. Tori's sold out, she's a plastic-surgery'd diva now. I still love, though.
@mermaidofsuburbia :/ it's really sad how so many perfectly talented artists end up like that.. I guess there's nothing to do about it but listen to her old stuff.
Cuz unfortunately some Tori fans are very very sensitive when it comes to Tori, even when there is no cause to be... Nothing wrong with saying the intro reminds you of The Red Baron...
You know that GARLANDS and DARK SIDE OF THE SUN have pretty much the same piano rift intro. just they are in different keys, and the way they are played are different. but still same notes.
Same with me. This song gets me everytime. She played it In Santa Barbara, CA when the sun was setting... it was beautiful... stage secluded in the woods. Amazing. Tears for sure.
This was one of the songs which got me through one of the most difficult times of my life. I contemplated suicide, but this song sort of helped me sort things out.
sometimes I try to figure out what makes her music so powerful it has effected you and I and so many others it is just so powerful... beyond words in the end I just accept her and her music as some sort gift ... I don't know really , I just Love her as do so many others..
Oh, we love her, don't we!

She's as wonderful live as she ever was. She's an artist, not a fn pop star for consumption. She does not compromise.
